Sniper Lights

I don’t know if theres already a topic on this, but in halo: infinite 343 should remove the light on the sniper rifles(light rifles etc.)
I mean, i know its for balancing, but halo ce-4 was fine without it. plus it extremely annoying to have the entire battle field see a blinding light, kinda ruins the point of sniping(sniping is mainly stealth FYI).
Anyone agree?

To be brutally honest with you, having the glint at the other end of the sniper doesn’t mean a great deal to be honest. In Arena, top tier players will punish you irregardless of the glint. In Warzone top tier fireteams will have called you out already. So typically, it won’t be the usual camping sniper.

That glint is really only useful for low end players new to Arena and Warzone, players that either don’t know or aren’t familiar with using the map or weapons to their advantage; because of that the glint is there to both prevent camping and give other low end players a chance to adapt. Wether that be sniping or catching the sniper. That’s just my opinion!

Another reason could be is that other Halo games didn’t have the pinpoint accuracy that the current sniper seems to have in H5. The sniper in H5 is ridiculously easy to use, so yes in terms of balancing it needed a con to all of the pros that come with yielding such a potent weapon. A possible solution to this would be to tighten the magnetism for the sniper again or change it from hit-scan to projectile.

Comes down to what you’d prefer, I for one at the cost of the glint would take hit-scan over the projectile gameplay without glint.

Yeah, i agree. But, if they added projectile gameplay WITH the glint it would be great.

It should’ve been like an option to have. If you want the light or not. Pretty sure if a lot of people knew about it that they’d have turn it off. I agree I don’t think it should be in Infinite but I also agree that perhaps newer Halo players might need it or at least want it in the game.

I agree that pro snipers will wreck you regardless. My issue is that newbs with sniper rifles can be spotted easily. If anything, the glint only matters to people who are as terrible with the sniper rifle as I am.

yeah, i’m pretty bad at aiming too. and the glint shows where i am and ruins the shot.

I personally don’t have an issue with the glint, and it is realistic after all. My point is, if you can’t use the Sniper solely on that reason, then maybe don’t use the Sniper at all, or try improve your gameplay if it’s inconsistent. I’m not trying to call anyone a bad player, but if this is a really big issue for you, then maybe Sniping just isn’t for you.

Haha you remind me of Tony Stark’s words to Peter Parker “If you’re nothing without the suit, you shouldn’t have it” lol.

But for real OP, the glint off a sniper rifle is kinda realistic. Though to be fair, we do have technology nowadays that prevents the glare from sniper rifle sights. So I guess going forward, 343 can go either way on it.
