Being the ‘average’ (maybe below) player that I am, I seem to get stuck when moving around on various maps which is not a good thing. Is it possible to produce maps that have ‘rounded’ edges and objects so the player does not get ‘caught’ on them?
I know that map knowledge is one thing to have, but I am unable to remember every nook and cranny of each map. If they had rounded corners and objects, the player would move easier, smoother and not have a hard time getting ‘unstuck’. Is this the wrong way to produce a map? Or a bad idea? Suggestion?
I think that’s more a problem with map design than anything. If you notice, a lot of maps (Solace and Abandon for example) have random, obtrusive pieces of cover laying around, and those are normally what I get stuck on.
You’re not alone. Many maps have odd little corners, wall accoutrements, steps, or other obstructions that only serve to trip us up. My all time most hated is the way you can get stuck behind the wall monitors in Bravo base on Exile.
I never really had this problem in any other Halo title, and it’s a drag on this one. Halo maps can look cluttered, but they never actually played cluttered, and I think that is a big design difference this time around.
My wish for halo 5 - cleaner lines of sight, fewer waist-level or shorter obstructions, and more obvious jumpable heights.
What do you guys think about falling off of maps? I think it’s a waste of time, the casual player wants to play, not fall off the map and respawn 3" latter…

I would suggest minding your footing and not jumping off the map. On pretty much every Halo map that has ledges that drop into endless pits there are guide rails, and even when there aren’t it’s not that hard to make sure you don’t fall off.
