Smh. kids these days can't talk smack anymore

Trash talk doesn’t bother me at all, no matter how offensive. It’s just a laugh. I think the older generations are a bit more laid back and know how to laugh at themselves. Kids nowadays are -Yoinking!- mollycoddled and wrapped in cotton wool, one brush with reality and they get scared and cry.

Still makes me laugh.

Agreed, I hate it when people do this too, but mostly I just don’t listen to people and mute them in game chat when I’m alone.

*THANK.*YOU.

Because his mom died of breast cancer a while ago. It makes me mad that people don’t think about that stuff, I don’t mind getting told that I’m a noob or that I suck, but stuff like your mom jokes are stupid.

Correct.

Is your definition of trash talk insulting people to make yourself feel better? Because if thats the case you should be ashamed.

-Yoink-, i have been -Yoink- talking since the good ole days of CE!!!

-Yoink- Halo 2 and being online, i was running -Yoink- back in the tourneys of CE where EVERYONE was face to face.
i was with my team for one tourney, we -Yoink- talked so much that the other team quit. but only after they physically challenged us to a fight.

i agree though, the art of -Yoink- talking has been lost. it is a rarity to even find a single team mate who has a mic plugged in.

Some people do it as banter

I insult people for fun but I expect them to do it back but I never actually mean what I’m saying…

People are too sensitive now days I guess

when half the smack talk I hear is Racist, or anti-semetic… I think we’ve crossed a line.

And now there’s a topic about crying over some mean messages? I’m sorry, but you’re playing online in a competitive shooter and you don’t expect some trash talk? either play a more casual game like Battlefront or play a more casual mode like Warzone or BTB.

Yes, I’ll -Yoink!- you, shoot your body, and use every curse word in the book, but after the game, I’ll send a “gg” if it was good game and invite them to a game if they were decent. Made some good partners this way too.

This guy gets it. Classy Spartans will never go out of style, ladies and gentlemen.

i was never about talking crap to people in the game… amongst friends sure, but just tearing people down for the hell of it, thats just wrong… and truthfully i hate just jumping in a game and having people on the same team crap talking each other, that ruins the game for me caws the lobby is filled with yik yak… i do mute them but it still takes away from the game… im no tree hugging peace sharing hippie, but i just try to respect every one… but thats just me…

Trash talking does hamper on team productivity but yes, it is expected. Many people now feel the necessity to “assert their masculinity” over the internet on a game meant for enjoyment. Regardless of how the game is enjoyed, there are several ways to eliminate something or someone who is harassing you, muting, kicking, and so on. People are sensitive to the wrong things today, they find offence in everything that could even be vaguely referenced to their person. I play Halo very competitively, and I have been know to trash talk my team because I am angry due to either the lack of communication, acknowledgment or ignorance. I do not trash talk enemy teams because they fought valiantly and there is no need to either express your anger or express your dominance over them. Grow up and look ahead to the next game, or stop playing, we will do great without you.

Wtf is wrong with all of you?

If you don’t think THIS is funny then you don’t have a soul and should stop playing immediately.

> If you don’t think THIS is funny then you don’t have a soul and should stop playing immediately.

People get so butthurt they would make a petition to get him banned for using naughty words

Can’t beat making a little kid cry (y)

I have mixed feelings on this. When I was a kid, I was bullied a lot, had severe social anxiety, and couldn’t have tolerated trash talking at all, which is why then I didn’t play any sports. I couldn’t have handled it. It has since gotten a bit better as an adult, but I know that sometimes that strong social anxiety carries into adulthood in others for a variety of reasons that are VERY hard to overcome (including genetics/brain chemistry). So it’s easy for me to have strong overprotective feelings over those who are more sensitive.

But, being honest with myself, I also see the other side of it that, it’s to be expected a bit when you play a sport, even an e-sport. I mean you can’t be really surprised that it goes on, you kinda need to expect going in that you’re gonna get it. If you can’t handle it at all, you probably oughta mute everyone and never check your PM’s, so you don’t see the hate mail.

Looking at the OP’s “rules for trash talking”, I don’t really have a problem with them. To be honest I just laugh when people -Yoink!- my corpse, haha.

So in the end I think there’s a time and a place for it. Moderation in all things. It’s okay and funny and fun to a point. Once the profanity, racist/homophobic language, personal threats, etc. start coming out, it’s over the line.

Yeah ,A man go straight on me with Ar ! cross me and after that he Tbag me ^^ R U serious man !
I did not see more tag than his in H2/H3 ,or when we make incredible 4shoot in duel Or a incredible action …respectfully ,for the rival
