> There is a difference between trash talking and just straight up insulting people because they suck. Hey I’ll be the first to tell you I suck but I don’t need to hear it 100 times over the course of a match from my own -Yoinking!- teammate the whole Warzone match.
This is so true. I’ll gripe about teammates all match long, but never over mic. Its just a way of venting frustration over something that shouldn’t be frustrating. But when someone verbally complains or berates a teammate for their kdr in that match (particularly someone still qualifying) I report them. There are to many ways to encourage a teammate that prove more productive.
I’m with OP for the most part, trashing within the limits has always been a part of Halo. Draw the line at racism, sexism, really foul language and other such things that I consider flaming, but its all part of the fun for me. If you are really so sensitive that you can’t take a -Yoink!- and a jab about that death where you totally failed then you really aren’t mature enough to be playing this game.
When someone sends a message saying something like: “Go -Yoinking!- kill yourself you -Yoinking!- black noob” that’s way over the line. When someone sends a message like: “Haha go play Mario Kart” that’s just some trashing and if you don’t like it, well you should probably go and buy a Wii.

And now there’s a topic about crying over some mean messages? I’m sorry, but you’re playing online in a competitive shooter and you don’t expect some trash talk? either play a more casual game like Battlefront or play a more casual mode like Warzone or BTB.

Yes, I’ll -Yoink!- you, shoot your body, and use every curse word in the book, but after the game, I’ll send a “gg” if it was good game and invite them to a game if they were decent. Made some good partners this way too.

I will report you if you act like a child and don’t stop insulting people. Thats not being childish. One of the dumbest things I’ve read is don’t report them.

Someone sent me a message to Quit Halo Forever. Based on the game I was in with him he had a point. My game play that particular game was equivilent to smelling a wet rat wearing an Egg Diaper in a Dumpster fire.
Then I noticed we were on the same team again the next game and I went positive and got some mojo back FTW.

I feel ya same thing happened to me yesterday. I mean what do they expect us to do quit Halo because they told us to?

i mean, i agree with this tbh im the same way. BTW you carried a team that WRECKED me and some buddies in slayer last night.
It’s the whole socoety right now. The political correctness society. Everybodies so sensitive and can’t take a little trash talk cause they’re little -Yoinks!-. In the military you better have gator skin, cause you will be offended, but you just let it roll off, or stand your ground and say something back. Today’s society is a bunch -Yoink-. They suck each others -Yoinks!- so that they don’t offend them. Watch, this post will probably be hidden.
Trash talk is something I use very sparingly, but I don’t mind it too much. However, “mean messages” may not be simple trash talk. Racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory remarks go beyond the realm of trash talking. Those kinds of things should not be ignored. However, I also believe it’s important to use the right media for dealing with situations. Coming to waypoint and making a post about players using Xbox chat or Xbox messaging to say hurtful things is the wrong way to deal with it. Those people should use the proper report functions, or should be how to go about properly reporting such things. Simply posting here and complaining about it doesn’t do much good.

must of been someone else. My friends and I got wrecked the entire -Yoinking!-’ night.
People are way too sensitive these days. This game is not for children. Stop letting your whiny little brat -Yoink- children get on and cry about someone hurting their feelings. And seriously, grown men who cry about getting trash talked, I feel embarrassed for you.
