SmartScope Sniper Scope

Anyone who has played the Beta has realized that you can use LT to scope. However, since SS is like ADS it has an aiming mechanic not snapping into HUD like old Halo games the Sniper will not zoom in twice, only once with SS, I changed the button layout to regular Joystick zoom and then I could double zoom in the Sniper, It may have been already patched but if it hasn’t it will but SS players at a severe Sniping difference so please fix this 343i.

What they should do is instead of hold LT to scope, you should only be able to press it to enter SL and press it again to get out of it (or to zoom). Just like fishtick in Halo 4.

Holy -Yoink- I never thought of that. I just switched it to Bumper Jumper as soon as I booted it up like always.

SS is not like ADS.
The Sniper animation is no different in H5 than it is in any other Halo.
While in default H5 controls, it’s half-trigger for x5, full trigger for x10 and if you’re descoped, it’s a brief moment before one auto-scopes back in. These are the same controls you find on Fishsticks in H4.
Halo: MCC requires multi-clicks with Universal Zoom and Shoot.

I use Universal Bumper Jumper.

When i played the beta i was using the fishstick controls and if you wanted to 2x scope you would have to click the right trigger. I imagine itd be the same on default.

I never knew that, I just use the Halo 4 layout. But that is interesting.

I just use Bumper Jumper to avoid that mess. It actually stayed somewhat the same as the previous games.

just use bumper jumper, also I wish they would add the smart scope to the BR and get rid of the ugly reddot shight
