Smaller maps=Faster Gameplay

If 343i wants to make gameplay faster and smoother, then make the maps smaller and take out instant respawn or make the shields recharge faster or something. Instant respawn is good for Flood Mode and what not but it makes the game faster for the wrong reasons. I just played a game on Haven and I got killed by the guy i just killed 6 seconds ago. If more maps were like Haven and Adrift we could vote on more than just one or two great maps.

Honestly, Reach gameplay was fast enough. Faster gameplay usually means less thought and more twitch instinct.

Agreed. Reach and H3 had similar pace though Reach’s player movement was poor in comparison.

H4 is too quick, particularly because more weapons kill you in one shot, weapons are random and instant respawn tops it all off.

There is no way I should kill someone only to kill or be killed by them before my shields come back.

Sprint = faster gameplay.

But having sprint = the necessity for larger maps.

You can’t have smaller maps and keep sprint. They will be ruined.

So, sprint + large maps = roughly the same sized maps, except people can run to cover faster to escape battles.

Sprint is the issue here. It’s a simplistic and non-ideal solution to a problem that was fine in the past.
