These are mine(mixed with popular community ideas):
-Red Visor -Rag Doll Skull/Rag Doll Effect for Custom Games(Have you ever played Rainbow Six Vegas, or Just Cause? Those games, specifically RSV has a toggle-able Rag Doll Effect. It was a fun little addition to the game because it let ARs shoot bodies 6 feet into the air, and grenades 50 ft.) -Time Of Day/Weather Effects -Individual Weapon Modifiers -Campaign Cheat Codes(ex: flying, invincibility, spawn desired weapon/vehicle(upon entering the code), super speed, god strength, play as moniter, play as grunt, play as drone, ect.) -EMP Grenade -Firebomb Grenade -Flamethrower -Stun Grenade(like when you get hijacked) -Human Sword/Machete(if knives in assassinations can break through armor, so can a sword)
1.) hitscan. this is mandatory. anything else is blatantly suboptimal. if halo 3 was hitscan i’d be playing halo 3 instead of Reach.
2.) bleedthru melees. like having your more skill-based performance matter 100% of the time? this is the melee system for you.
3.) grenades that arent mini nukes. self-explanatory.
4.) weapon customization: DAMAGE, RATE OF FIRE CAP, BLOOM SETTINGS, HEADSHOT CAPABLE = YES / NO, etc.
5.) ‘static spawning’ weapons and powerups. this means a powerup or power weapon will spawn on whatever timer its at, every single time. for example: if the timer is at 2 minutes, a weapon will spawn every single 2 minute mark, without exception. this is different from reach where you can hold a weapon indefinitely to keep it from spawning, and the weapon’s respawn timer starts when you first pick up the weapon.
6.) NO RANDOM SPREAD or RANDOM SHOOTING MECHANICS like FAILEDBLOOM. if theres a BR it should have ZERO SPREAD. if theres bloom on a utility weapon like a DMR, spamming should NEVER WIN, and should ALWAYS LOSE.
i like sprint and evade, and i think you should be able to use both right off spawn. like tap button to evade and hold to sprint… but i think both should draw from the same (reusable) powerbar.
other abilities should be pick ups with limited use such as:
instead of overshield/armor lock you get a pickup that allows you recharge your shield to 100% at the push of a button, but once you push that button the ability is gone.
a jet pack with a non-rechargeable gas tank.
and so on. im sure this idea has its flaws to but it seems like a good balance between what armor abilities do and what equipment does.
skulls on forge/custom games/matchmaking. SPUTNIK!
vehecle variants. (able to use in matchmaking and forge)
like AA wraith, and replacing revenant moarter with plasma turret, and making ghost shoot chopper spikes. They already did this with the warthog. Why not?
I for one really REALLY hope that one can wear a special armor piece in Halo 4 multiplayer based on the insane amount of time and effort put into gaining rank in Reach. Please make it worth something when we have to hang up Reach to move on to Halo 4.
