Small issue somewhat related to the 15gb update

This isn’t so much an issue concerning the update itself, but rather how to avoid it.

I’ve played through Halo 2 Anniversary’s campaign already, but I wanted to run back through it again to watch the terminals. When I went to do this, however, I learned that you need to be connected to the internet to do so. Now, I can’t seem to connect to the internet without the game wanting to install the multiplayer update, so I figured I could simply start the update, then pause it and jump into campaign (since I don’t have the bandwidth to download it this month). For whatever reason, I am unable to do this. The game is acting as though it’s not installed, and I’ve had to uninstall the entire thing and reinstall from the disc in order to access the game at all.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so, has anyone found a solution?
