Small Ideas for Halo4 Multiplayer GET IN HERE!!!!

I have been playing halo since the first CE on regular Xbox. My passion comes from playing multiplayer/online.
Just a few of my smaller ideas outside of most of the stuff people are crying about. Feel free to add your own!

  • Would love to see a sword armor added (like the hanzo sword from halo3)
  • Would love to see multiple nameplates for gamers who have been loyal to the halo franchise and helped make the online community a great place to game in the past.
  • Plenty of armor effects, some more subtle than others… but give the players the options to customize the color.
  • The maps Lockout and Zanzibar
  • make the “instant respawn” happen after the players body stops moving, Halo rag-doll physics are the best… when players get in the habit of spamming their respawn button it takes much appreciation away from the game IMO.
  • Allow players to issue challenges to their friends/show friends weekly/daily progress and stats on certain maps. This would keep myself and friends coming back

no crying in this thread  - Just suggestions and things you would like to see!

Well, I mean the Katana was cool in H3, but it really didn’t serve much purpose, so I could see it not making a comeback.

As for Nameplates, while it is cool that they allow you to differentiate yourself from others, eventually most people have most of them, and the uniqueness goes away. If they are implemented, I’d like to have a lot more, and have them be unlocked by doing certain things in the game, such as reaching Level 50, or being 1% Onyx, etc.

Armor effects… I’m just not a fan of them. I have both the Red & Blue flames, but if I’m ever playing competitively, I turn them off because it draws attention to you.

Lockout is a great map. Zanzibar I can do without. After playing some H3 recently on Last Resort, I realized that I don’t really enjoy that map too much.

As for issuing challenges… I’m a little confused by what you mean here. You can create challenges in Reach here on the website and invite your friends. If you mean like actual matches, you can just play a custom game I guess?

As for the daily stats, I’d agree with that. Reach currently has Weekly stats, and I like to use that to see how the player has been doing RECENTLY, but a Daily stat would be nice to see if that player is on his game today.

Thanks for your input, as for the challenges… say I get 29 kills on a map, I can have the option to share that with certain players to challenge them to do better, it doens’t have to be exactly like that… but say a certain map is loading, it would be nice to see some of my friends gamertags pop up and see their total kills for the map, K/d ratio, headshots, medals etc…

Would be nice to see invasion in halo4 too.

I’m really not a fan of rewards for “loyal players”. I’ve been following Halo since the day it came out because that was the same day I bought the original xbox, but I shouldn’t get a prize for doing that. If I was to pick up Halo 4 as a fresh game, it would frustrate me beyond belief that I couldn’t attain something because I was a new player.

I’m not entirely sure how they would implement something only for long-term players, anyway.

FYI, not all long-term players have contributed on “making this community great”. I for one don’t feel a true part of the moving force of this community, those are more select individuals that are the main faces/movements.

It’s not like you would be getting an advantage in-game.
