Slowtime events.

In the footage they’ve shown, there have been some quicktime events, but they’re not really quick, a guy whose brain is a second or 2 behind can do them perfectly, if they were just gonna implement quicktime events, they should have made them quick.

They are not Quicktime events, they are actually the same as any other gameplay, the player makes the choice what his action will be, you do not have to press a certain button at a exact time or such. During Co Op the other players around you can also kill that enemy without you having to do a thing.

Naturally if a Elite or Knight is in your face or pins you to the ground you will be spamming melee to get it off of you, so they act more like instinctive combat scenarios instead of Quicktime events as they dont take away from the action going on around you.

The one where he was climbing up the elevator shaft, the IGN guys said that it was an in-game quick time event.

I wouldn’t trust IGN ever.
