When I first got the game I must say, it ran noticeably smoother and faster online than it does now. Now I am noticing things like a complete stop in game play (on my screen) and when the standings screen (the screen with all the battle updates i.e. k/d, spartan standings, and time specific to game mode) goes away I am usually dead. I ask people in the game when this happens if they are still playing and 7 times out of 10 they usually are. Not to mention I have noticed a significant change in battle scenarios for instance, we all know 5 head-shots with DMR kills. Bottom line. So why is it that it is taking me six and seven shot now to kill and add that half the time I don’t even see my opponents shield being affected by my rifle fire. There has also been a slew of “teleporting” opponents opponents whom I will be behind and then after a quick screen glitch I find myself assassinated. This rarely occurs but it has happened quite a few times. Don’t even get me started on my lack of the remaining six specialization that I never seemed to have gotten this mysterious code for. That is frankly the least of my worries at this point.
I am asking the community if there is anything I can do or any where I can go (online or otherwise) to try and clean up this drowning connection that I seem to be running into lately. Advice as to bettering my connection would also be greatly appreciated. If it helps I am currently running a linksys wireless N broadband router model number WRT54GS2 V1, it is plugged into a modem (ISP Time Warner Cable) I have the fastest speed available, god only knows how fast that really is. I usually only have my home computer wirelessly connected and my television wirelessly connected. My 360 is always hardwired to the router directly. I have an OPEN NAT type and ports 80, 88, 53, 3074 all forwarded (whatever that means).
Hopefully someone in the community can help me with this failing connection issue, thanks in advanced and let me know if you require more information to assist.
