Slipspace Engine a Clue?

Seeing that Xbox are supposedly working on 2 new consoles, I think that the new Slip Space Engine for Halo Infinite could have a clue to what direction new generation games are going.

I see it like this, Slip Space transports on thing very fast from one location to another that can be light years apart - my logic links this to cloud gaming, being that cloud gaming needs a fast link between your console and the cloud to work properly. I see that Xbox will make a new Xbox One X style console with a larger hard drive and will make a new cloud based console with game pass built in. Almost like the Xbox 360 Elite and 360 Arcade.

The link between Slip Space and cloud gaming could seem far fetched, but maybe a new console could harness the power of cloud gaming whilst not concentrating too much on aspects like memory or storage.

Do you think that the Slip Space Engine is so that Halo Infinite can be a cloud based game? Or is my logic illogical?

Could be illogical, I wouldn’t over-exceeded my money all just for one game. Though they may make it $120 for pre order of the special edition

Based on my understanding, this will not be possible. When Infinite comes out, we will probably not have advanced networking tech that far either. I believe it was called the “Slipspace Engine” simply because it’s a brand new and highly advanced engine. The name is meant to draw parallels with the advent of slipspace travel within the Halo universe.
