Slight movement in the right direction for player retention

With the buffs to the Commando and Pulse Carbine, the Drop Weapon vs Swap being changed, and the Sword being Nerfed. It’s nice to see a ‘slight’ direction shift back to a casual experience.

There is a long way to go to even come close to making a less sweaty Halo a game. I’ve never understood why 343 wanted to make Halo a Sweat-fest anyway. It seems like a one way track to gate keep players from wanting to play the game. Its like they Marketing is saying try it its free but the matchmaking team is saying ‘get wrecked’.

They could make more direction changes that would help players enjoy their experience. I think one change would be beneficial would be to do something about the sidekick. That is definitely an issue that drives a wedge between players. I don’t know how to link a clip from my feed, but I made an example if anyone wants to check it out. There are many options to ‘nerf’ its spamming. I just started dropping it on spawn so players wouldn’t resupply off my corpse.

Things like the melee lunge range, slide range/speed, sprint to shoot speed, radar. Pretty much every setting could be adjusted to make Infinites matchmaking more balanced for more players and less geared to esports.

These are actually changes that the ranked community has been asking for specifically, so, don’t act like this is a casual-benefits only thing.

MANY of us wanted every single one of these changes.

i dont think people know what theyre describingg when they say the word sweaty. i think if your sweating, your havving fun. The problem occurs when you cant sweat because trying seems pointless. you believe the other team is sweating when in reality no one is sweating because its a complete mis match. what you really want, is sweaty matches.
