Slayer

I played 7 games of slayer and only won one, And these were not close games. i solo Q

Anyone else getting slaughtered by these teams?

Not really, no.

There was one memorable match though. Colliseum. Match is off, we get wiped. Shortly after I see four people on the enemy team all walking single-file in a line on the path to the rockets, then splitting up into groups of two straight after. I’ve never seen such perfect choreography in a random match, it was stunning. About a minute later I keep encountering them in small groups and dying to their teamshot, while my team was scrambling around doing nothing.

It was clear these guys were an actual team with comms and everything. I quit on the spot. Useless teammates are my number one pet peeve, and this just compounded the issue.

You run a big risk playing with random teammates as there is usually no communication and everyone is in it for themselves. For Arena I strongly advise playing with at least one teammate for a bit of teamwork.

You would think after all these years at least one developer would increase the odds of stacked teams playing stacked teams, and solo gamers more likely to play other solo gamers.

I remember one match… all four enemies came at me in a straight line. The front guy shifted left, the back guy shifted right. Then the front guy and back guy switched directions. It was then I knew what was before me… a choreographed dance. I had never seen such smooth dance moves from 3D characters. I took a rocket to the face. Then the worst thing happened… they all surrounded my body, in a full circle. Then they all began to moon walk counter-clockwise in the circle.
We lost 50-0.

I have losing streaks all the time, but they seem to be pretty balanced with a decent win streak. I think the biggest variable is players quitting out once they start losing. Winning one out of 7 games is unfortunate, but will probably wind up being a net loss of two or three games if you play another 10. Halo 5 is such a team game that losing very rarely has something to do with only you.
