slayer vs swat

This is not a knock on either play list, just curious on the opinions of other. For myself I love the crazy randomness of Slayer, the funny CQB encounters were both players lose the line of sight of each other and are shooting randomly while trying to melee, as well as the other crazy things that happen due to the longer kill time. Slayer is also better for me due to the time difference between my friends and I, Swat really requires coordination that you really don’t get when no one uses mics.

If you suck at head shots, play SWAT for a month straight. You will either quit Halo altogether or you will learn to aim for the head for life. Then… go back to Slayer.

There shouldn’t be a tough decision here. Slayer is for people who like to play the game the way it was intended. SWAT is for noobs that don’t like to “wait” to get kills and enjoy the CoD-style “whoever sees who first wins” mechanic.

I prefer Slayer. I don’t like that I can die easily and I like to be able to use the Fast Track Tactical package so I can level up faster. Plus it does not allow use of the weapon skins.

SWAT is for practice or warming up. Slayer is for fun right now.

Slayer.

What I like most about Halo is the sheer consistency and skill involved in doing well across all the individual encounters throughout a game.

SWAT is 1) very connection oriented, 2) highly auto-aim/aim assistance/so on influenced and 3) a way to utterly bypass being good in a face-to-face encounter.
