I started playing Rocket League and they have a 3x3 playlist for solo players only (if you are in a fireteam you can’t join).
As someone who plays solo 98% of the time, I’d like to see a Ranked solo slayer mode. I know you’re all going to say, find people to play with, and that’s fair, but I have 2 kids and 2 jobs so orchestrating schedules isn’t the easiest, and I often only have time for a few games.
It’s often pretty clear when you’re playing a team of 4 of solid players, and if you have one weak link, it’s near impossible to win.
I do Quick Play quite a bit too, but it seems like I get fewer good games there. We either stomp the other team or get stomped, neither of which is much fun.
I just read that Rocket League also has 50 million people playing it worldwide. They can afford to have specific playlists like that unlike Halo where we’re struggling. At best, it would have to be a rotational playlist.
I think with a healthy population that would be possible, but i think having seperate playlists will just seperate the population even more. I do feel ya tho as a solo que individual, aint easy.
But if the MM system does its job, then the chance that 4 solos match a team of 4, the 4 solos are suppose to have a higher MMR than the team. Thus to even the playing field. (i hope i didn’t butcher that explanation)
Although when i played solo, matches always seemed one sided.
Maybe just play some FFA? I do wish rumble pit would return. A social FFA with some wacky game modes, more chill.
That makes sense, I didn’t realize we were hurting for players.
The part that sucks is that Halo has never catered to the gamers with any type of busy schedule (which is why the whole “banhammer” I think is stupid when the other FPS games I have/have played don’t), and with how long it’s been going on in the series, I highly doubt anything will change. That’s actually why I’ve been playing Halo 5 less and less actually. Because I have to take an important phone call, or change a diaper, or something that will take enough time for the game to “boot” me out (I don’t mind that part, just the banhammer I have a problem with) just to find out I’m banned from playing for around 15 minutes. Over something that is out of your control. Yeah, good luck getting 343 to start thinking of players who can’t spend 5+ hour straight playing their game nonstop.
