Slayer Pro should be completely removed.

Slayer Pro as a gametype should be completely removed from every playlist. It’s ludicrous, if I wanted to play MLG, then don’t you freaking think I’d go into the MLG playlist? It would be like if you could get vanilla Reach in the TU Super Slayer playlist, it’s ridiculous.

There’s already too many garbage gametypes without an AR start, Slayer Pro is even worse for not having radar.

Im not a huge fan of that gametype but I recognize it as offering a different type gameplay, one that has been present since the beginning. I would prefer it have its own playlist, but to be honest I dont think enough people are interested in playing, so it would most likely end up have a population like TU ZB slayer, maybe a little higher. Not good.

It’s fine. At least it’s more reasonable in normal Team Slayer since you have a choice over your weapon.

As much as I like Slayer Pro, The Arena is basically dedicated to fulfilling that niche.

Are you serious?

MLG is worlds apart from Slayer Pro.

Should be replaced with a no AAs gametype and better movement.

I wouldnt go that far. Maybe the weighting could be turned down though in light of the myriad specific tryhard-pants lists we have now, each catering to the particular kink of a relatively small set of people.

Agreed. That gametype is so boring, what with such a limited selection of guns and AAs, and the lack of a motion tracker makes things awkward and random. It’s epecially frustrating in FFA gametypes. Never liked it.

It is a little redundant with no NR’s. Personally, I think they should be back. The 85% bloom DMR is very accurate for many shots even at max ROF so I don’t see a problem with them.

MLG and Slayer Pro are two entirely different things, most significantly the MLG playlist is very competitive and filled with far-above average players most people can’t compete with. That atmosphere ends up being a bigger difference than the game rules themselves. You cannot group all players who like Slayer Pro into one hyper-competitive section of the community.

Additionally, the lack of a motion tracker rewards situational awareness and increases the effectiveness of flanking maneuvers and teamwork-the point of gametypes like SWAT, for example. You could also argue that the tracker promotes camping.

I think it’s more the stickies than the NRs. But who knows.

Would it help to give only 1 like Elite Slayer?

Maybe, I didn’t play much Slayer until the NR was removed from Pro loadouts and Super Slayer was added, but I do know that two stickies in TU Elite slayer is pretty bad. Only 1 off of spawn might work.

I like Slayer Pro. It makes Uncaged playable since there are no Jetpackers. I don’t understand why they took the sword from Blue team on Sword Base in Slayer Pro games. Red team still gets their shotgun though, which doesn’t seem fair.

I just want to say something about the tracker.

Its generally a good thing because halo was designed for it from the start. Its designed for it because the FOV of halo is purposefully smaller than other games, around 60 degrees for past halos and 70 for Reach i believe, as opposed to at least 90 degrees FOV for most other games (think how much you can see around you in gears of war for instance). The tracker and how important it actually is because of the small FOV was one of halos original main innovations, along with it actually being a tracker and not a radar which means you can still sneak.

Tracker off games are still fun because of the suspense element, but you pretty much have to be looking around in 360 degrees circles ALL the time because of the small FOV, which is annoying.

Indeed

For the radar issue, I think that rather than removing it completely, we should just cut it to 10 meters rather than 25 in Slayer Pro. While you still need communication, you won’t be wandering around like a kid in the dark afraid of what’s behind every turn…

I’ve always liked Slayer Pro. Kind of a nice blend of Team Slayer and SWAT, both of which I like. You just need to go for the headshots and quit watching radar while hiding around corners with shotguns and swords. LMAO!

HOLY CRAP!! I was just guessing in my last post, but after looking at your stats I was right. You’re just a shotgun and sword gardening tool that like hiding around corners. Shame on you. You should be forced to play nothing BUT Slayer Pro and SWAT until you get your game together. LOL

And you sir, should be forced to play nothing but 1v1 Swords on Spire with no vehicles, sprint, or any other armour abilities, and 25% movement speed.
