SLAYER PRO IS STILL BROKEN WTF.

Slayer Pro is still broken even after 3 playlist updates, Are you even listening 343i?

Okay This is a Request for a game-type designed specifically for use in the Slayer Pro playlist which include Weapon tweaks and general game type fixes.

Slayer Pro

  • Remove the Assault Rifle Loadout.

  • Remove the Needler from the maps.

  • Remove secondarys in loadouts and add the Plasma pistol and Boltshot as pickups.

  • Reduce melee to a three hit kill instead of a two hit kill.

  • Remove the icons above spawned weapons on the map.

  • Remove Abandon from the rotation (Doesn’t suit the game mode at all and isn’t well received amongst the community)

  • Reduce the amount of time Haven can be voted for (sometimes it gets played upwards of 5 times in a row)

  • Add a 5 second respawn delay, instant respawn is too chaotic for the tone of the game.

  • Remove the spread from the BR. (The BR has Vertical Recoil, Enough infact that the recoil itself is enough to make long range shooting indesireable with the BR therefore making the small amount of spread present un-necessary.Spread is bad because it creates randomness, Vertical recoil is better because it’s consistent, predictable but works just fine.

  • Remove the Vertical Recoil from the BR when un scoped, it’s not needed when un-scoped and modifys your aim in which the player has no control over which is bad for competitive play.

  • Remove the Bloom from the DMR, There is so little that even on full spam you can still maintain a 80-90% hit rate.

  • Make the BR a 12 shot kill (11 body shots + 1 headshot).

  • Bring back unscoping with scoped weapons and remove flinching.

Some good points, even though you do sound like a Halo 3 kid.

There was really no point in nerfing the BR except to make it useless compared to the DMR.

Take out sprint and increase movement speed. I have nothing against sprint but strafing and side movements need higher speeds and coupled with sprint make you run way too fast.

It’s just 1 playlist and they should let the long time Halo classic fans enjoy it.

There is bloom on the DMR? lol its 100% accurate, and yea make it so you have to pick it up not start out with it hell its a power weapon.

This is all I’m seeing reading this thread.

Why remove the assault rifle anyways? I have no issue using it or having it used against me when playing team slayer pro.

Most of the time I pick the BR or DMR loadout anyways. Though in honesty most of the time I just use the magnum.

The only part i agree with is that the AR should not be in pro. Oh and instant spawn should not be in halo at all.

As for the DMR argument, i mastered that commendation and im on to the BR and i think its about even on small maps, which are in pro. You all complain that the DMR ruins halo cause it owns everything… what about the H1 pistol? H2 BR, and H3 BR on LAN or host? It is nothing new to Halo so get over it. Geez.

So basically, because it doesn’t EXCLUSIVELY contain your weapon of choice (BR) then it’s broken.

LOLNope.

Then on top of that you’re requesting a complete altercation to the BRs damage and nerfing melee to be completely useless.

Making the BR four-shot would COMPLETELY upset the balance of the game, and doing it for just Slayer-Pro is just a bad idea because we need unified game settings. You should know that from the mess of Reach.

Also, just because you don’t like the map options doesn’t mean the mode is broken.

You’re whole opinion is just wreaking of entitlement, you seem to take the stance of every other whining little scrub…and that is “THIS GAME DOESN’T PLAY EXACTLY HOW I EXPECT IT>…IT’S BROKEN…343 CHANGE NOW”

The whines are strong with this one…

Though I have not played Slayer pro, a lot of these sound about right to me.

AR in Slayer pro sounds like a mess, full of bad camping guys who are afraid to learn how to get a head shot, also Abandon with no radar… Uhg.

And you sound like a Reach kid, the people who ruined Halo game play. Saying some one is a Halo 2 or 3 kid is not an insult. That means they are dedicated fans unlike people like you who just got into Halo.

I happen to think that Slayer Pro is just about the only playable playlist on the game. At least it has some sort of resemblance of past Halo games. With this, swat, and snipers it’s beginning to look like a Halo game again. I would also like to point out that all the complaining about the additions 343 has made is not helped by the fact that the only playlist to even come close to classic slayer is the least played playlist. Why should they even care about the competitive crowd, when they won’t even play the only thing close to the past games.

You’re biggest mistake is assuming that “Competetive” players prefer Slayer pro because it’s more akin to classic halo.

The truth is, it’s a whole new game, and just as proven in evolution, there are those that thrive in a new niche, and those that do not.

Shall we cater to those unable to adapt to their new surroundings? Slowing the progression as a whole as we do so.

Or, shall those unable to adapt be left behind? In this case, to complain on forums blaming all for their misfortune all the while avoiding the true reason for their fall from grace, and that is, their own inabilities and inadequacy.

Or could it be that that this game has veered too far from its roots in a desperate attempt to BE the next Call of Duty game and angered many long-time fans in the process? Has it become more newb-friendly by introducing pure randomness in its weapon systems, AA’s, “perks”, ordnance drops, and extreme host-dependency? Does it have the smallest skill gap due to humongous aim-assist, bullet-magnetism, and an imbalanced weapon sandbox? Is AcidSnake defending the DMR because he is an avid abuser of its clearly broken advantageous mechanics? Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Exactly, I was never a big fan of the MLG/stripped down playlists in previous titles but Slayer pro is the only playable mode for me at the moment.

They won’t the closest thing to past games because the closest thing to past games is a terribly set up playlist that has already been missed by 343 3 playlists updates in a row.

Solid post, solid post. I don’t play Slayer pro so I can’t bash you or praise you. I am glad you made suggestions though. Gotta see what people think.

The Battle Rifle in Halo 4 sucks. Forcing players to pick up a DMR would essentially make it the equivalent to AR starts. The gametype is fine as is. It just needs weapons on the map.

IR shouldnt be in the game at all maybe only BTB… and remove the AR sounds about right…without radar theres to many campers with it… and plus theres always that one kid using it like a DMR and going -15
