Slayer Pro=Amazing

Slayer Pro is astounding. In Europe, populations have gone up to almost twice their size since Pro was introduced. The weapon balancing update on June 3rd will likely bring back more.

It feels so fresh. I don’t walk round a corner not knowing what I’m going to be facing. For instance, on Confined, I know I will be facing a DMR (which is nowhere near as OP without AAs), an LR, a BR, a Carbine, or Sniper/Rockets (which I can keep track of).

No more losing an 18-0 perfection to an iCannon, no more being cross mapped by camo snipers. I love Pro.

Infinity just feels so…confined…map movement is little to none and I noticed on Pro when I was using the LR loadout that I was relying on the HLS to save me. I remedied that next spawn.

If pro had radar, I’d be down.

I just played a match of Infinity. God it’s disgusting. The amount of Jetpack, DMR, and Boltshot spammers was unbelievable. I was playing against a guy who literally tried to BS you and if he missed he would just sprint away. In Pro, at least you can know there can only be x Boltshots on a map. Their 0.4 charge time is far too minuscule.

Pro doesn’t need radar , radar is for noobs who doesn’t have a headset . I’m so glad pro doesn’t have radar .

I don’t need either one, there’s this thing called your eyes and ears. radar was meant to supplement your senses, not be a replacement or crutch.

Edit- So which playlist is pro in, I haven’t touched Team Inf.Slayer in ages from all the camping and cross shooting.
Edit 2- Is it bare bones or did they include thruster pack?

EDIT: Barebones, would be nice if they plopped little thrusty on map though. It’s in Team IS, Big Team IS, and Doubles. It will be removed from Throwdown soon.

I play across all time zones…yes, I play a lot of Halo 4!

Thankfully,343i has an awesome data collection system.they know what map selection was provided for ever match and which was voted for and which was avoided. They know how many players left the lobby, how many quit during the match and so on and so forth.

Please, 343i, release the facts/data so more myth surrounding this or that as it relates to Halo 4 is not perpetuated.

Sine Pro was released, this has been the majority experience, across all time zones, as it relates to Pro in Infinity Slayer and BTIS:

If ll three options are Pro, some leave the lobby immediately, others leave very soon into the game and others who JIP leave once they discover their been thrown into a Pro match.

If two maps are Pro and one Infinity, the vast majority of the time, Infinity gets voted and not Pro.

If two are Infinity and one Pro, Infinity almost always wins.

And if all three are Infinity, everyone (almost…ie not Pro player) are happy!

Please, 343i, release the data to back up my observations. Everyone who plays BTIS, for example, know this to be true! Well, almost…some are in denial and are in some alternate reality BTIS voting lobby universe!

On launch day of Halo 4, the number one and two ranked play lists were BTIS and IS. That has remained the case/fact every day since and up until this very post! On the other hand, Team Throwdown and other win/loss play lists have been at the other end of the spectrum…almost no one cares fore them. The same is true for Pro. Pro is for a minority of Halo 4 players. Should it be removed altogether? No! Pro should have its own list so that those who enjoy it can actually get to play it match in and match out. As it stands, they get to play little of it as Infinity gets voted for the extreme/vast majority of the time!

If I want to play Infinity, that what I want to play. If I want to play Dominion, then that’s what I want to play. If it/s CTF, same deal. That also applies to Pro; when I’m in teh mood for that, I want to play it exclusively. Mixing things isn’t good, IMO.

The next Halo must, on launch day, have two sets of play lists and game modes. The new majority popular style Infinity with expanded AAs, tac packages, support upgrade etc. Also, there must be Pro/classic/Halo 3 or whatever styled forced load-outs minus radar etc for those who like that. Something for everyone! 343i, that is the way to succeed next Halo…something for everyone launch day, including ranking system and everything else. Have it all i place, different tastes for different styles of play, and the population will not decline as rapidly has it did this time around. However, abandon Infinity and go back to the past and Halo is finished. Just do Infinity again, and Halo is done. Do both and all will be fine!

I support Infinity. I also support Pro. Both belong! But, not mixed together.

As for map movement, I don’t know what you have been playing but it exists in every BTIS game I have played, same with 4v4 IS and other game modes. For anyone to say with a straight face that their is little to no movement on maps is just making more myth!

I know, man. I was playing a game on Simplex where some guy spammed the Jetpack and attempted to EMP me EVERY time he saw me. He never hit me, and when he missed he would throw his frag grenades directly at me which obviously would just go past me entirely. I don’t think he ever fired his gun at me once.

Also, it’s really funny seeing the people who aren’t used to TS Pro play. Like, I’d get into one of the few Warthogs on a Forge Map, and people would chuck their frags directly on to the hood of my Hog without realizing that they have to go out and actually PICK UP their plasma grenades.

Whenever Pro comes up for me, it gets a majority of the votes. Of course, it’s very likely that players around my skill level also enjoy fair experiences. :wink:

My only issues with Pro are: that it’s not in its own separate playlist/playlists (if you want to play a specific mode you should be able to) and that there’s no radar (sorry but taking it away doesn’t make things fairer).

Also to people still going on about game breaking weapons or AAs, change the record - every time I play the team that plays the best as a team wins, regardless of what they’re using.

You’re not really addressing the argument against certain game mechanics in Halo 4. The game mechanics won’t make the other team win necessarily, but it could either slow gameplay down to a crawl or just sorta ruin parts of 343’s vision that I, for one, really wanted to see come to life.

I find no radar frees up map movement insanely. Also Wolfblade, thank you for presenting an unbiased opinion (yes I know those two words conflict), and I agree to your idea to an extent. My problem is Infinity should be an OPTION, not be the DEFAULT slayer. Default Slayer should be Pro.

And where is the data/survey collection you base the 80 figure on? Did you really poll/question tens of thousands of players? Or, is teh 80 per cent really just based upon your own opinion and that of your friend? The exaggeration is strong in this one!

BTW, I’ll try and see if I have the video saved or not but, I have actually beaten a iCanon user with a needler. I have beaten a sniper user with the DMR and so on and forth…What is your real point, if any?

Who cares if you got the iCanon. It won’t do you any good unless you are smart and use it properly and wisely! Same applies to all weapons in this game!
