Who decided that skyline was a good place to dump all their shotguns? There are 4, for god’s sake. This, and infinity rumble, make it almost unplayable. Thank god for rumble pro.
Gonna have to agree there. It’s definitely Shotgun overload on that map. Everywhere you go, somebody has a Shotgun pointed at your face.
Plus a sword and a pocket shotgun for everyone

I didn’t even notice there were four shotguns.
…because I’m so used to every other map having ten shotguns because of ordnance anyways.
I mixed it up and took a Scattershot instead!
No probs, I got my Automatics!
The thing that annoys me the most is the excessive use of Assault Rifles. Fair enough that you use them but it’s just not Halo to me. Might as well add ADS and call it a day.

ARs aren’t Halo?
Really?
If they wanted four CQC weapons on the map then why not at least mix it up a little? Shotty, Scatty, Energy Sword, Grav Hammer.

You misinterpreted what I said. I meant they aren’t supposed to be a main utility weapon in any map. This is why I was talking with relevancy to that of Skyline.

No, he interpreted you correctly. You just don’t know Halo. You just stated the opposite of Halo. Starting with an automatic is Halo, then battling for the precision rifles or power weapons. Play something before Reach.
Akshully, precision starts were a pro’s dream.

Excuse me? You certainly have got the hang of misused assumptions.
I’ve played since the beginning all the way down to Halo: Combat Evolved and have clocked way over 2,400 hours of gameplay in total. I know so much about Halo it annoys me simply because people like you assume like they know what works for the game and what doesn’t. I’m aware that the Assault Rifle is the original starting weapon for almost all Halo games but that is not my problem. My problem is it being used in Halo 4 over other weapons and being more effective when it should purposefully be a beginner weapon as it was intended originally by Bungie.
I agree, I get killed by the shotgun left and right on Skyline.
Shrug, now that I don’t play this game seriously anymore I’m fine with AR’s.

Considering all of majestic focuses on CQC i’m not surprised. Its a nice change of pace from dmr dmr dmr dmr dmr dmr dmr dmr dmr dmr…

I see what you’re trying to say, but no. There is no middle ground for this debate. Either the AR is too underpowered to even be worth using, or it is OP according to people in Halo 4. Personally I’ve gotten used to it. And I use the BR against these users and can generally out duel them. Plus, every other map is DMR centered so what is the issue of having a map where the AR dominates. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of Skyline but I don’t take issue at the AR problem. On topic, they should definitely lower the shotguns, or clips.
Sidenote: This is why the SMG/dualweilding of Halo 2 was my favorite. It made the starting weapon somewhat useful and balanced.
If it’s not the shotgun then it is the sticky detonator.
Then the needler
Then the sword/hammer
Then the guy who combines speed boost with a boltshot/shotgun/scattershot

The maps are fairly small, people are going to run around with the weapon designed with CQC in mind…
Yeah, I think they’re a bit too common.
I love how I can dominate with my favourite weapons on this map though! Skyline is mostly an AR and Shotgun domination-map IMO.
