Skulls in Matchmaking...

What about that idea? Should it be implemented, or should it not? Of course you’d make gametypes off of them rather than players finding them and screwing up the game but hey, it would be worth a try.

Can’t see how it would be implemented. As for social skulls like Rainbow beams shooting out of the focus rifle or other funny stuff down to competitive one’s that increase damage resistance to certain weapons, etc… I honestly like the idea, but no.

As in you pick up a skull in-game, and that skull takes effect? I could see it being in Action Sack as a weird gametype!

Like I said, sounds fun, but I wouldn’t know and most certainly 343 probably wouldn’t know how to implement something as radical as that.

Probably like Firefight, at random or set intervals one or more of the skulls will turn on. Can change up the gameplay and make people either change their playstyle or wait it out and hope nobody beats them.

Imagine, camping with a Sniper when suddenly shields are increased, forcing them to either hide or seek out weapons that are more effective against shields.

no it wouldn’t work. Skulls make you life harder, having them in multiplayer would be unfair and the forums would be filled with many angry posts. Maybe just sneaky hidden ones that do nothing except net you an achievement?

Getting an achievement for finding hidden ones on the maps would be cool. Like Halo 3. But the random intervals activating a certain skull during the course of the game would be quite cool/awesome/balanced. Depending on how it changes the players playstyle, and if it makes a team have the advantage or not. It might work if they manage to balance the effects so no team is at a loss.

I agree with Crazy, here. it would be interesting to see their effect in custom games, at least

It’s seems like a great idea. It just needs a little more thought into it.
