So… I have found every single skull from Halo: CE to Halo 3. I have earned every standalone achievement for finding each skull, I have earned all three “find all the skulls in this game” achievements, but the “Throne of Bones” achievement, which states that I must find all skulls from Halo: CE to Halo 3, is stuck at 97%.
This is quite frustrating, considering I have earned all achievements besides this one, basically stating that I have 100% of the skulls and also 97% at the same time. I am very confused. I would hate to have to grab every single skull all over again just to try and find out if I missed one. And if I do that and I wasn’t even missing one and it is just a broken achievement, it would be even more frustrating.
Bump. Someone who has seen could at least give me their opinion.
I am in a similar situation, however, I am missing one skull in Halo 3. Or at least it says I am, I have the achievements for all of them. I was going to try working my way through all of them again to see if that fixes it.
I’m not even sure that would work. Even my nameplate list has given me all three “find all skulls” nameplates. As in the game has kept track of what I hate but the cheevo app says 97%. Was a secret skull added to this or something?
I don’t think there’s a secret skull considering people have made videos for these achievements. I know there is a common glitch causing data to not sync properly with the online servers. Most people have the issue with completion of campaign levels but It might be the case here too. One of the skulls registered for the achievement but not for unlocking within the game itself, in my case. In your case it would be the game tracked it but achievements didn’t register it. Maybe try getting all the skulls again and hope you get it otherwise wait until one of the upcoming patches fixes it.
Since update unable to get skulls to appear on legendary Halo 2 Cairo Station and beyond - and yes playing on Legendary - every new update creating new glitches.
I was having the same issue with the stuck at 97%. And then it hit me. I had a skull achievement that unlocked but didn’t pop up on the screen. I went back to the level it was on which for me was cario station, grabbed the skull under the trash can and sure enough, Throne of Bones Unlocked. So my suggsuggestion to you is think about what skull didn’t pop on the screen but you did get credit for.
How long has it been stuck for? I’ve had one achievement that’s been stuck on “Done, unlocking” since day one.
Mine throne of bones achievement also got stuck on 97% despite having found all of them. It did pop eventually though, and I’m not 100% sure, but I may have even gone back in and grabbed one of the skulls again to trigger it.
I’m in almsot the same boat as you. When I ran through Halo CE I got all the skulls (individual achievements popped fine) but I never got the overall achievement. Halo 2 and 3 were fine. So my overall achievement for all 3 games says 97 percent as well. Glad to know I’m not the only one. I’m trying to max this game out … hope 343 gets this fixed. I’ll go get all the skulls again if need be, but at the moment there are none to get.
I am in the same boat as you. My friends said theirs worked and mine did not. So that means that I have to go through ALL of them again… people should boycott reserving Halo 5 and hold 343 accountable for their issues in this game. They have destroyed the halo reputation and what it stands for releasing such a buggy game with glitches upon glitches and patches to fix patches. Even the multiplayer is busted up so much that it is a lengthy process to find a game. And the fact they removed SWAT is messed up. One of the best game types and they say “we will annoy many of our players and force them to play snipers”…
smh… 343, you have failed us all. You are not welcome for messing with my halo universe…
