Skull idea for Halo 4

When I got Halo: CEA and got the Bandanna skull(Nice hiding place btw 343, more like this for Halo 4! :D) I got an idea for another skull. How about a bottomless clip skull for Halo 4? Imagine you could combine this with Bandana(Hoping it’s in Halo 4) and you would be unstoppable.

Bottomless clip/Infinite ammo rocket launcher would be so much fun.

just no, it would take away soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much skill from beating legendary, unless they make the achievements for beating the campaign require that skull to be off, then no
edit: unless they require it to be turned off for ALL campaign achievements

> just no, it would take away soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much skill from beating legendary, unless they make the achievements for beating the campaign require that skull to be off, then no

I was thinking something along the lines of that yes.

Fun yes but know reak skill involved.

I disagree. I do think that having skulls than make the game easy/different/fun is a nice change of pace from skulls that make it just plain harder, but I disagree with bottomless clip because that would be far too easy.

I agree, the Extremely hard achievements shouldn’t gainable with Boosted skulls turn on.

BOOSTED SKUll:

Infinite ammo

Bigger explosions

Weapon damage increase.

…you guys get the idea…

I don’t think that bigger explosions counts as a boosted skull, because it can really backfire on you, I know it does on me, a lot. -_-’

I cant help but feel like its almost like those rapid fire hacks. It would probably be fun, though honestly if there is few enemies through the mission, or there is not that many in a group, it would kinda get boring because all you would have to do is hold a trigger for a few seconds and they would all be gone.

Fun for a moment, then it takes the fun and challenge away.

Then don’t use the skull. Thats the thing about skulls is you can use them if you want or not if you don’t. Easy as that.

Yeah that requires something called “self-control”. A lot of people don’t have that. lol

You make a good point. Got to love being able to turn them on and off. It makes me think of the Halo 2 days when the only way to turn them on was to find them each time, in each level.

I mean of course it would take some challenge away but if you’re turning the skull on in the first place then you’re doing it for random fun. Imagine a Bottomless clip skull with Bandana, Grunt funeral, Boom, Pinata and a rocket launcher.
Explosions EVERYWHERE.

And of course achievements would be disabled with these skulls on so people can not just breeze through Legendary.

I agree with you on that. But i used it on the library and got 17:43 for a library speed run in HALO CEA. Its kinda broken…lol! but yeah it can kill u if you use it poorly

Oh god, a single spark would level the level. (No pun intended)

I kind of agree with this, but not because of the achievement, but because I want harder difficulties to actually be hard. This kind of skull would also kind of water down the Mythic experience as you could just blow your way through everything with a Rocket Launcher. I think skulls need to be as they were in the past, make the game hard (gold skulls) or just add random fun (sliver skulls).

And on a related side note: Who else would like the Halo 2 Sputnik back for Halo 4? That skull was awesome. I believe we need more skulls like it, skulls that add fun effects without really affecting to the difficulty of the game.

And then a second related side note: Skulls should also be hard to find, the Bandana location was a good start, but it was relatively easy. We need skulls that you can be proud of for having just because of the difficulty of getting them. Not just hard to find, but hard to get. For example, getting a skull should reguire you to perform a succesful launch by using a vehicle and explosives or you would be required to fight few waves of the games toughest enemies (a la Halo 2 IWHBYD). And that kind of stuff.

What about the Halo 3 IWHBYD? Honestly how were you supposed to figure that out? If the game was never hacked I wonder if it would have been found ever.

Sure it was hard to find, but hard to get to is the idea I’m trying to get through here. the problem with Halo 3 IWHBYD was exactly that, it would have been super hard to find without digging into the games code. But after it was found, there was nothing hard about it, people could just go to Youtube, watch the right sequence and grab the skull.

My idea is that even if you knew where the skull is, it should be hard to get. For example, if we had a mission where there was a small (about a Spartan height) cliff by a lake and further in the lake there was an island where if you zoomed with a weapon, you could see the skull. The skull was right in front of your face, but in order to get it you would be needed to gather lots of explosives around the map and something you can launch yourself with. Alternatively the skull could be on the other side of the lake and you would be needed to glitch out of the map in order to get it.

That’s more like what I was thinking. Could be because of my obsession with all kinds of tricking in campaign, but that’s an example of what I would like to see from the skulls in Halo 4.
