Simple question really.
Reach introduced a newer “cousin” of the Kig-Yar, one that if canon is correct, the cheif hasn’t come across before.
Maybe they were only a trial in the covenant, and were quickly retired. maybe they were only deployed in certain situations, but it is safe to say that John hasn’t met them.
So if the covenant are back, and they are still at similar strength, will these annoying creatures be back?
Oh, and Jackals need to be left handed again, god knows why they were changed in reach, only of the most annoying canon changes ever.
Drones and engineers need to be back in full force as well (engineers are a must really)

This, also it’s highly likely the MC would of fought against this species before the Invasion of Reach.
from what i know about the caanon of halo and the story of the skirmishers, we probably wont see them again. John has never seen any skirmishers and a lot of them were killed on reach. the skirmisher is of the same species as a jackel, but because the jackels have space travel and spread out far and wide some jackels evolved and changed into the skirmisher to adapt to their new home. so the skirmisher species is very limited in number. if they still exist after reach then the covenant most likely only use them when they have a super secret under cover black ops mission or do not deploy them for the sake of preserving the species. i’d say that after reach not many if any remained. so we probably wont see them agian.
I hope not. They were my worst enemies for quite some time, and I’m glad they got exterminated on Reach.
I never want to see another Skirmisher again.

I thought they were fun to kill, especially because a headshot would make them jump up in the air when they died.
