Skirmish at Darkstar = 1,000 ways to die

I am loving this map you have to be on your toes 100% of the time. You always have the drop on some fool, and someone else has the drop on you. Can’t wait to be on it again…

Aren’t you supposed to be saying how the new map is the worst map ever? This seems a little out of place. I expect to see hate threads pop up immediately after the new DLC.

I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. It seems like a smaller map, which I imagine would be a good thing.

Skirmish at Darkstar seems like a mix of raid on apex 7 and March on storm break, and also seems very exciting. Can’t wait to play it.

Sounds like every match I play. lol

Sounds legit

It has the best atmosphere by far. Even before it is announced, you can see the bosses coming in dropships on the horizon. It is similar to the scene in The Force Awakens with the X-Wings in the background.

I’ve played it once and i loved it combat seemed to be faster due to the decreases size and made it more intense and fun

Yes, this map is the most beautiful out of all warzone maps. Also, it’s about time we get AI enemies who can drive warthogs, making things more interesting (just like campaign).

It’s very fast paced.

My one desire yesterday was to get on it. Every search resulted in one of the other maps. :stuck_out_tongue:

The map rotation felt a little off last night. They may still be tweaking it. Nice to have 4 maps.

I played on it 3 times last night. I still haven’t made my mind up, but I’m leaning toward liking it. It’s strange, in all 3 games we didn’t capture the fortress once, but won 2 out of 3 on it cleaning up bosses and controlling the armories. It is much smaller and you certainly have to stay on your toes at all times. Felt much faster paced.

played 2 back to back matches today…one word…EPIC

seriously this has to be the most enjoyable warzone map i had played till now

some of its best parts according to me:

  • The great lighting, gives a nice sorta darkish atmosphere. - Plenty of hiding spots, doorways and walkways…people can come from any direction, really adds to the whole unpredictability. - Great legendary boss placements…this was very important for me cuz i felt that in the other maps (except maybe Noctus) that most legendary bosses were easier for the team that controlled the middle base (especially ARC and Stormbreak)…everyone has an equal chance of getting the boss kill like this, allows skill and map awareness to factor a lot. - Due to the above, its never clear who will win the game until the very end…keeps things very unpredictable and gives ample opportunities for comebacks if people manage to get it together. - Finally, the vehicle bosses are real fun, and i really liked the appearance of the spirit dropship after a long time. (last seen in Reach)Im usually on the side which complains about 343’s updates and stuff, guess this time im supporting them haha…

Played it one time and really, really liked it. A little concerned that the armories can become camp sites because you can see armory to armory, but I’ll need to explore the space to find if there are better attack sites.

That central location for the Warden and other bosses is really, really fun. That initial boss push is a unique take and I love just how chaotic it can get.

Nice awareness of your surroundings man! That’s how you get the job done!

Seeing the Spirit fly in the drop off the Spec-Op elite was so amazing to see. We saw very little of Spirits in the campaign and none in Warzone so seeing them added in was really great to see.

yeah I enjoyed my first match quite a bit

It really captures Meridian’s desolation tone quite well, ESPECIALLY the promethians controlling the UNSC vehicles! Really shows how they own meridian as a whole. I would like to read a book about it.

I love how they added crates and cars around the armories so that you can easily assault the second floor from all sides. I hope they make an assault variant for this month update even though it won’t fit the theme!

Seems interesting can’t wait to play on it!
