Well, I’ve been playing since midnight, and it’s 2 and I’ve not even gone up one level from 39 to 40. So there’s no way that I’ve reached the XP cap for today. Yet, the XP screen is being completely skipped and it has not told me that I’ve reached the cap. If you reach the cap it still shows your player and the screen that typically shows you the XP you’re getting. I was playing Spartan Ops, and the screen was skipped, and it also showed that I was the only one in the lobby. Anyone else having this issue? It’s quite disheartening. I would like to hear what the root of the problem is and see it fixed!

This is also happening to me. I was hoping to get to 40 before goofing off in campaign.

Glad it isn’t just me, I thought something had happened to my account. Saw a few posts in the forums about the same issue after I had posted this topic. To the campaign I go.
This is pretty ridiculous. Worked 10 hours a day, all week.
Get home Friday night to play Halo 4 and this is what I’m greeted with.

Great to see the game going down the drain so early. And to think it’s 343 that’s helping the game flush. Once cap is reached there really is no incentive to play. So bye bye Halo. All those years working on such a great game and they spoil it with the cap system, even if you try fix it, your dedicated players have already left. How many years we wait. Stuff you guys, we pay we play ! Bye
This is like if you bought a pack of cigarettes and the cigarette company told you, you have a 3 cig cap a day. People don’t buy a brand new game, pay for Xbox Live service just to be dictated on how long they’re allowed to play. Sorry I know it’s a balance thing and that’s okay but it’s a ridiculous.
I get this issue all the time. Never got a cap screen, pretty sure I’ve only gained about 75K XP today, and now I’m no longer getting XP screens or XP. It sure would be nice to see 343 acknowledged this.
I have had both, the ‘you have reached the daily online exp limit’ notification, and the other thing where it just gives you nothing, skips the screen and there is no notification. I think these are different, and the lack of 343s participation for explanation is appalling.
That a limit is there in the first place is bad enough.
glad its not me either, so we pay for a game which stops us from ranking up?
i can see people going back to Reach since that game had no issues giving you credit and wasnt as laggy as this…claps
You still get the exp… watch ur xp before you end a match.
I actually had a friend that had this happen. I thought it was the XP cap…

nope my xp hasnt moved in the last few games and i am no where near being capped
You definitely do not earn XP while affected by this… Its really quite a big problem and needs to be dealt with ASAP…
Same, hit the cap yesterday and still no Exp and no Exp Limit Reached message.
And again today!
Don’t know if I capped or not, but I did NOT get the message to inform me that I did and I no longer receive XP or XP screens.
so i can imagine how many people are having issues with this and then there are people out there who want a 1 - 50 ranking system.
can you imagine the issues we will have with that system if they cant even fix the issue we have now with just gaining xp?

Well I’m glad to see I’m not the only one experiencing this issue, but I was a little disappointed to see there are no solutions to this problem.
I reached the daily cap limit sometime mid Sunday at which point I shut the system down to go do other things. I return to my xbox around 1am Monday morning ( I presumed the daily cap would be reset), play one Spartan ops match and receive my Exp point as normal. However, that was the only match I’ve been able to get any Exp in.
I’ve tried several different game modes and every time it skips the Exp screen and my level bar has not gone up since. There are no notifications, no messages or anything to indicated there is a problem. However before kicking me back to the title screen it acts like its trying to throw me into another match as I see the names of other players I was not playing with and then boom, main menu.
The level cap is irritating as it is without having to contend with this nonsense. Some sort of acknowledgement on this issue would be most appreciated.
