Skip a map (instead of voting)

If about half the lobby vetoed the map.
It gets skipped.

You can’t “pick” a map, but if enough say !NO!!..
Than it is skipped?

I’m sure antifreeze would get buried deeper than orion if this got implemented. =)

Halo 5 doesn’t have enough good or bad enough maps to justify a voting or veto system. All of Halo 5 maps are just utilitarian, and I’m at the point where I’m just accustomed to them.

It wouldn’t need to be permanent.

Just to gather information, what maps do people like the least.
And to make those appear less frequently?

It’s not about good or bad maps. If people play the same maps over and over again, they’re going to want to veto for something new, no matter how good or bad the map may be.

Sometimes new maps do draw interest, but typically people are fixated on 2 to 5 maps and like addicts they will do anything to play on them continuously. They endless desire Sword Base, Valhalla/Ragnarok, Lockout/Blackout, Ivory Tower/Reflection and others I can’t think of right now.

Yeah just like halo 3. Dunno why they didn’t reimplement that.

What if your favourite map was one that lots of people didn’t like
you would get screwed over

So like Halo 3.

I hated the Halo 3 system. Never again with the veto.

Why?

I have the solution: Skip a map req cards. You want to skip maps, burn a req card, no req cards, suck it up and play the map.

That makes no sense. I assume this is warzone since you are mentioning REQs, so if 1 person wants to skip a map all other 21 people in the game are also forced to skip the map?

A veto system wouldn’t hurt, if ur willing to skip a map get ready for the consequences of what map shows up next, easy.

The map skips for the one person. They go to another lobby.

I think it would work better.
If it was a common card, and using the card counts towards 1/24 veto.
.
Others can use a card to increase it past 1/24.
Maybe a nessosary 6-10 veto to skip?
If it doesn’t get skipped you keep card.

Player counts vs cards needed. (Example)
4p = 2 to skip.
8p = 4 to skip.
16p = 7 to skip.
24p = 10 to skip.

Players don’t understand percentages. They’d veto the second best map/gametype combo in a playlist hoping for the best map/gametype combo when odds are they’d get something inferior.

The illustration is a gross simplification. Too many times in Halo 3 would Guardian get vetoed because players wanted The Pit, but then we’d get stuck with Narrows or Isolation. So on and so forth.
