There are some other 343 Skins that were available for a short time back in the day. The Fire & Ice unicorn are earnable now though.

Was that the story behind the flags? I was wondering, such a shame because there are some nice designs on their and I am sure it would have brought some prideful flair to many of the worldwide halo community.
Hopefully one day, take out those skins, although I think it would be impossible but you must not lose faith, how lucky the one who has those skins

I can’t remember exactly to be honest, believe they were due to release but the designer left shortly before they went live for whatever reason and they didnt end up releasing them.
Something like that anyway. Was a long long time again.

Right, first year of H5 feels like a full age ago. Still a shame this never become popularly used though.
I wish they would have released the flag skins, they look cool (and hidden) in the Halo Waypoint app beta.
I also say that, they are very cool, I also looked at them for the beta version, I hope they get them afloat although I think that would be impossible

I believe part of it was the optics, as there was a real life tragedy (that I won’t get into) around the same time. At least, that was the rumor.
It also very much could have been that they just decided that real world flags don’t belong on Halo guns.

this is really a pity, because I have the first 343 skin in the game because there was a championship pack with a bug in it. but the new ones are really beautiful.

Yes, you’re right they most certainly are. It would be great to have the opportunity to unlock everything through just playing the game. I remember someone asked on Twitter back before Halo 5 was released and they asked if this was possible and someone in the 343 team did confirm this. But over time things have changed like you can’t get the war game season qualifying completion icons if you didn’t participate for example. But it would be cool if it could be added in with the loot boxes.

yes it’s really a pity that 343 doesn’t change its mind for this because I would like to complete my collection.
Some skins have never been available to players as some have been but are no longer available.
