So I read in the latest HCU that the UNSC and Banished skins can be bought now. I’m quite annoyed by this. I got the Banished crate and was pleased that I had something exclusive. I imagine that all the people who did the Twitter promotion must be quite peeved. To think they could of got both now for a couple of quid is a bit of a piss take. I know they won’t but I think people who got the Banished crate or have the Ultimate Edition should get exclusive skins.
I also feel this way I would have loved for it to stay exclusive! or they released a different set of skins for people to buy instead, which still would have kept our skins exclusive!
If it supplies more money to the developers to make more content for the game then I support it.
Oh well. I have had these skins pretty much since launch and love them. I’m totally happy for them to be available to more people. I personally have never ran into a player rocking these in my 1000 games so far. I don’t care that much.

That’s a fair point but it would of been better if they released new skins to sell instead.

Yeah there is a UNSC Camo skin which looks like black tiger stripes and the Banished Pearl skin which just replaces the silver with white on vehicles. The UNSC one was available through a Twitter promotion and both where available in the Banished loot crate which is why you would of seen them much because they where meant to be exclusive however now they’re not.
I don’t like exclusivity, only time exclusives

Someone once posted about making skins as rewards for players reaching new rankings. I think that’d be killer.
Or, for spending achievement points. That’s how it was for armor in Halo…3? Maybe? Whichever one had everyone running around covered in lightning, flaming heads, and
hearts.
I don’t know how difficult it would be, but a “flood skin” for UNSC sounds viable and awesome. Just make marines into flood infested marines. Maybe it’ll satiate some of our “we cant play as the flood” woes.

personally i hate exclusives to begin with. that being said it’s whatever. doesnt affect me because i didnt have it to begin with.

I think your referring to Halo:Reach which was epic. In that they also had exclusive armour for people who got the Legendary edition and in the first halo wars only those who got the ultimate edition got skins. So although I know exclusivity is annoying it’s even more annoying when you had something exclusive and now anyone has access to it

Yes but for the people would didnt get to the twitter crate can now have access to the skins. The ultimate owners should have them. Thats a no brainer. Why are they so bad at making decisions that will keep their fans happy?
To be honest, you just had to play on Twitter to get one of those and the other was just a goodie from a box that wasn’t even aviable for purchase on every country (in fact wasn’t aviable on some countries that have acces to the regular Loot Crates).
I would see a reason to be upset if they were giving away exclusive content from a limited edition on a cheaper version, but this is not the case.

Supposedly the Xbox One couldn’t handle more skins during matches so I think that’s why they haven’t sold different ones.
If skins only showed up for your own army that wouldn’t be an issue.

My Hypothesis Is that because the exclusive skins can not work without both being activated left alot of player who only had one of the skins out of luck
Especially the ones who payed money for the
Halo Loot Crate, as a result this left 3 group’s of players in the game, 2 with skin that cannot work without the other being activated and 1 group who happened to have both and can use them in-game.
Im sure that after many failed attempts to solve the problem in a pvt server they decided to go with
The simple solution,
make it available for purchase for everyone.

I think your right but I suggest then just releasing another skin pack instead. This way people still can get a skin and the old ones stay exclusive. Yeah some people may miss out but Imo this is what they should do or at least make this skin pack purchasable for a limited time then put up another that’s more permanent.

This is basically the issue as I understand it. Unfortunately there are no plans to add anymore skins to the game.
