Skill Matching in Arena Matches

I feel that pairing players with people around their own skill level would be a lot more fun than being paired up with semi-pro guys that will just spawn-kill you over and over again. :frowning:

It’s already confirmed that it will.

thank god…
and thank you

Yes. Skill matching is a better way for players to improve. No point owning one match, then getting owned the next. Thankfully it is in the game.

I don’t understand the reasoning of no. I mean, think about it. Once you rank up to say gold, you can be matched up with bronze or iron ranks. So, its mainly you just dominating and winning if you are quite the player. So, that keeps sending your rate up, while the bronze and iron ranks just get hammered all the time, and takes them a LONG time to get their rank higher. I’m looking forward to the skill matching, as I would hate being destroyed by Pros and Semi-Pros

I prefer to be paired with people around my skill, so it isn’t a slaughter house and that i can actually enjoy the game.

I wish social playlists weren’t based on skill. I’m tired of having to go hard ever single game. To remedy to problem of new players going up against very experienced players, there should be a playlist that is limited to people with a low number of hours played.

It doesn’t matter what rank you are people will spawn camp

I’d like to see a skill system that accounts for hours played, games won, KDA into the normal matchmaking algorythm (which is mainly based on win/loss I’m assuming here). These factors can really help to determine a players skill.

Matches are SO MUCH MORE FUN for everyone when the skill level is around the same.

Same thing.

match people of non-equal skill. Just kidding.

Any game which has very loose search algorithms are horrible, even in laid back games. Also, inexperienced players is the same thing as players with low skill, while experienced ones are of higher skill. If you only have low number of hours played it only separates new vs old, but not skilled and unskilled, which is something that shouldn’t happen. Another problem you might run into is wether or not to keep such a time played system. How long will search times be when new players are scarse?

Hours played isn’t a direct measurment of how good you are and should therefore be left out of any equation. KDA is also something that would dilute the system when it removes emphasis from the team part of the playlist and promotes selfish gameplay.
