Good Afternoon Gentlemen,
I’ll open with a link…
http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/default.aspx?player=Overnight%20Prawn
This account has fired 0 bullets, yet has a 1.43 K/D averaging 1/4 of the team’s kills per game. Games were not spent casually hiding and waiting for a moment to strike either. I literally ran at the enemy every time I spawned until they died.
Why am I showing you this? To show that even at it’s most basic of levels, Reach was an awful game where AAs could be abused in a competitive environment. Don’t even get me started on how broken jet pack, armor lock and dropshield are… Bungie really did a number on this one.
I just want to see a game with a solid skill gap where players can shine as individuals and as a team. I want a game where players actually are paired up on skill and you don’t have random mismatches that end 50-10 almost every game.
I want a game that can hold my attention for years to come… I want… Halo 4.
I do not care if you add ‘perks’ to this game, I applaud your bravery. Just make sure if you are taking this innovative step forward that you work hard to balance them and maintain a fair and competitive level in Matchmaking. No more invincibility buttons, ok fellas?
Much love,
A competitive gamer.
> Wow
I know dude.
Anything you wanna discuss in here haha?
Someone has already done what you’re doing with that account, I don’t remember the exact gamertag but it had something like 4500 matchmaking kills using only melee and maintained a 1.6 K/D.
Edit: Found the account, he’s up to 9300 kills but down to a 1.18 K/D.
I Melee Only 2 is even more ridiculous.
Play a few more than 15 games. I’m not trying to be insulting but 15 games is hardly an extensive study. Also an average of 12 kills per game is hardly running right at them.
I’d very much like to see whether or not the results stay the same over a long period.

See my post above.

Just did, but there’s also a few other stipulations the OP is imposing that we can’t confirm or deny that I Melee Only 2 has adhered to as well. Such as careless rushing in for a melee instead of casually or carefully sneaking around the map.
Halo needs to bring back the time-to-kill from Halo CE & 2. Reduce hitbox size and reduce auto-aim/aim-magnetism and the core point-and-shoot aspect of the game will be more rewarding, predictable, and enjoyable.

You’re reading too far into this and it causing you to miss the point.
This is a first person SHOOTER, yet it’s so broken that people can put up those type of number without firing a gun.
A very skilled player(s) with nearly zero TS values literally beating up on the competition isn’t much of a surprise.
Can you repeat the process against your fellow very skilled friends with them not pulling any stops?
Or perhaps attempt the same thing towards the end of an Arena season so that you are matching up TS values reliably?

Mother of god.
> This is a first person SHOOTER, yet it’s so broken that people can put up those type of number without firing a gun.
You are making a direct distinction between melees and guns as though this were real life.
Melees are variable damage, very short ranged, unlimited supply and near instantanoues effects attacks.
Guns are variable damage, variable ranged, variable supply and varying time-effect attacks.
They aren’t actually fists and bullets, they are different forms of “moves” disguised by real-life representations.
Is a fighting game any less of a fighter for allowing projectiles or guns? DoA and Tekken rarely, if ever use projectiles, so are they more “pure” than Street Fighter for being a fighting game?
The strawman says “Of course not.”

That’s somewhat better.
Now look at his/her W/L.
If you’re playing to win, it doesn’t look like it will do the job.
Let’s remove all the weapons, I’m sure no one will notice. After all, shooting and meleeing are just performing two not so different moves.
^Assuming that he’s always responsible for his team’s victory or defeat? His W/L ratio is still around 50%.
I dont even .
Some 1 is A Silly sally …
Skill gap has taken his leave for while. Maybe he’ll be back in Halo 5, he says he’s “not sure”.
WTB a leveling system like that of halo 2 and halo3 please, thank you:)
