Skill Abilities

I don’t mind the new skill abilities but they should only be able to be used once per match. This is the best way of balancing the abilities. Picking and choosing when to use them will require skill, just like a Halo game should.

I would like this .

Why should they only be able to be used once per match then there would be no point in having them? Not as base abilities anyway and as far I can see these new abilities seem fine they seem to be balanced you can’t spam them and each has a trade off for using such ability.

Then they’d be close to useless. Not to talk about not necessary to implement in the first place.

That is a good point. Then maybe a time limit when to use them, every 30 seconds, every minute etc. I am concerned people with just compile them together and be able to use 4 abilities back to back.

Or pick the up the ability just like you would an over shield or camouflage.

Or do what the fighting games do. You whiff, you get punished -Yoink!- hard.

That would be teamwork, would it not?

I’ll reserve judgement untill the beta, but provided the abilities are good and dandy while powerful with teamwork, couldn’t your team use them back to back?

Thruster is around a 4 second recharge. All the other abilities seem come with a trade off.

Sprint: Shields don’t recharge while sprinting. (i.e no more running away unless you get lucky)

Ground Slam: hard to aim, easy target in the air.

Stabilisers: Easy target in the air.

Melee charge and slide: Requires you to be sprinting at full speed, so obviously you can’t shoot back and your shields wont be recharging.
