I recently learned the hard way, that Skewer Shots are effected by Gravity Lifts.
By that I mean, it’s not passing through the “blue glow” but instead gets sucked up by it and follows the lift’s trajectory.
Or to make it more visual:

Personally, I was quite surprised. The Skewer Shot has such a high velocity that I never thought this would be possible. So I was wondering…is this a bug or a feature?
I can’t really see the practical applications of this. “Maybe” when an enemy escapes through a Lift right in front of you, you can shoot in the lift and then the projectile travels so fast, it catches up the enemy midair and kills him…?
But this sounds like something where you get a very rare 100G Achievement.
Also: Are Scorpion Shots and Rockets effected by the Lift, as well?
Should they?
Or is this just a “bug” after all?
On the other hand:
It’s not like it’s ruining the gameplay. So I kinda don’t care if they leave this mechanic in the game.
So, take this with a gain of salt.
I think all slow moving projectiles (You can see the bullet or what your shooting/throwing) are affected but I don’t know for sure.
It’s not a bug. The projectile is considered a physical object that can be interacted with much like grenades. So it can be repulsed and it will be redirected by man cannons.
Actually you might find this interesting. Try watching Defend The House on YouTube. They do Halo Mythbusters and test stuff like this all the time.

Yea, I know them from back in the days
Did they already test this for Infinite?
Anyways, I’m still wondering if this mechanic is any good.
To me, it just doesn’t feel very “organic” since the projectile’s velocity is so high.
If it was something slow like a grenade, then ok. But this way…

Yeah they did a series of tests with a bunch of stuff. Also the projectile speed isn’t as fast as you might think. I really suggest checking them out and watching all their new infinite content. It’s a fun time and you learn so much about the game.
I don’t think it is a bug, I also don’t think it is a good thing.
One of the game’s few remaining physics interactions.

Lol #TurnOffSkewerCollision
Since its anti vehicle mainly, I could see this as a cool way to take or vehicles fleeing through thre grav lift.
They’re basically always stuck for a second when they land. Then BLAM!
