Sketch: “Season one feedback outcomes/info”

If only games companies cared more about the fans that hold them up than the investors that have little to no practical investmest in their product.

They literally wouldnt have any investors if it werent for the fans, and now 343 is turning their fans against them.

That means pretty soon, the investors are gonna do the same.

Preach.

20 Character Limit.

  • Restructure upper management to better align with the vision of the game.
    • Hire an independent consulting firm to identify the sources of poor leadership then remove those sources.
    • Identify the yes-men and replace them with individuals with the capacity for critical thinking and a spine.
    • Cultivate a workplace culture where authority bias is a non-factor.
    • Read “Mythical Man-Month”
  • Fix the technical mess
    • Revaluate the technical screening process for software engineers
    • Scrutinize and replace software engineers responsible for the engine - especially the UI - with individuals who at least have read read Design Patterns by the Gang of Four.
    • Make armor and weapons actually customizable instead of the limiting system currently in place
  • Fix the player to developer communication
    • Hire a PR team to manage, moderate, and collate player feedback on social media platforms.

I’m sure there’s more but…

I am all of those things and I’m done shouting into the canyon.

Info is fine. But this game is NOT going to survive on info alone. We need to see the impactful changes and know when to expect them. The typical, “we hear you” or “it’s something we are keeping an eye on” are not going to sustain a live service game.

The game hasn’t seen significant change to warrant player retention or the return of those who stopped playing. The promise of “maybe” a future update or change in the future is just sad.

If I was someone who had any say at 343 I’d honestly call it quits and just go radio silent until season 2. There is literally nothing that 343 could write in a blog post to make season 1 better. They’ve messed up the launch so badly that I don’t think they’ll recover for a future title release.

What I don’t understand is how can Microsoft and 343i release a game that is so broken. We have a Custom Games Area that was released broken.

If I had created this game I would be so embarrassed that I released a game that is so broken and most likely I would have been fired to releasing a game that was broken!

Now I ask all of you, how does 343i ever come back from this big debacle?

By removing microtransactions and beefing the absolute crap out of their game. Thats what battlefront did lol

343 was doing good. I liked Halo 4, i understood the undertaking that was MCC, and its circumstances. And while i didnt like Halo 5s campaign, i genuinely enjoyed its MP for quite a while.

Its just something had to have gone wrong with HI development. 6 years is no excuse for the state of the game.

Don’t come after Ske7ch. He’s just the messenger and takes an absolute beating for it.

The problem is higher up than that. Just look at what 343i leadership truly thinks of Halo fans in the WP article.

i’ll give some feedback they need to fix the damn game FFS

i’m on an old white XB1 that came with gears of war 4, and after the last “update” i cant even play the campaign because i get the NVidia/pc geometry glitch that makes large chunks of the terrain/ skybox appear as black triangles

Those are emulators. Once someone figures out how to hack a closed source OS it can basically be packaged as an emulator on any other OS. You could probably say the same for Xbox and playstation.

Not really any constructive feedback here. So this thread will be locked.
