Guess I’ll just be not mad because of the Holidays even though they knew beforehand they royally screwed up.
Sorry but no. Holidays doesn’t absolve them of this mess. It’s been over a week they could have made changes before they took a break and they didn’t so no people aren’t going to stop being mad just cause of the Holidays.

The studio decides what is and isn’t a beta. Unless it’s a studio owned by EA.
This is a “soft launch” as far as business goes, so yeah it’s still a beta given that soft launches are running things at scale to weed out any kinks before a grand opening.
Evidence of this is that 343 has stated multiple times they’re expecting a bigger influx on Dec 8th and the holiday season in general given this is the advertised date for a while now.
So all of us playing and giving feedback (or just straight up having a dramatic meltdown lmao) are giving them real world meta data to play around with. You need data to make adjustments and when something is in full blown production you can’t waste time and money just “Trying things” at random, you have to make calculated calls.
Minor rant here, but there’s a reason pure democracy is a disaster. Same reason 343 isn’t just going to cave to every major thread, because over compensating for a flaw could make things worse. I’m sure the teams that handle X and Y have a wall full of colored sticky notes sorted out as is haha.

They’ve done a great job with the game so far. The monetization sucks, but everything else is spot on.

Maybe we are thinking of different changes, I’m thinking of changes like how color and armor work which would need new menus and functions. If you are thinking just getting more xp or lowering the prices in store then yeah that could be done by Dec 8th.

Fair enough, I was talking about fixing the store and progression. fixing colors to go with all cores is important too though, i agree

if they rush a fix a few days before they leave for holidays and it has an issue then what. They have to spend time designing a fix and testing before they release it.
edit- If once holidays are over it still seems like work is not being done to improve then I would worry

ight. I accept that entirely. they made a fantastic game with the worst monetization ive ever seen. but I can almost 100% guarantee that the monetization is the decision of the suits in microsoft and not (entirely) 343 themselves.

8 Hours a day reach truther here: yes this is fine. development crunch is the hellspawn of the gaming industry and I can bet theyve been hard on it for months. they deserve their break. the game is great, but the customization and progression needs fixing. if they can do that, this game is perfection

Yeah that’s why I said give them until the end of December, things take time and just rushing it would only make it worse.
I just hope they actually take the feedback to heart, 343 has a bad habit of avoiding topics they dont want to talk about, like req packs the entirety of halo 5s life cycle
If they dont address the store and MTX along with many others then its safe to say that 343 doesnt actually care about players opinions, but only the players they agree with

All they would have to fix to make people happy over the holidays was not limit peoples progression in the event and up the XP earned in matches. You can fix that in a day and it wouldn’t have been a rush job. The customization and other options can wait til after the holidays, but the event and xp issues should be fixed right away.

Yeah. What is the purpose of the pulse carbine? Maybe I am using that weapon at the wrong times, because it feels useless tbh

The pulse is also bad but I think its a me thing because I use a mouse, I think the ravager is the worst weapon.
Its meant to be a mid range weapon I think. Maybe used with stealth to get the drop on someone because going head to head they can just strafe and everything misses. I have been lasered by it but see almost no one use it effectively.
