Let me start with… I love this game. 343 brought all my favorite parts from all the other halo games and smashed 'em into a beautiful creation (save the ghost race) that has given me hours, no, days of pleasure.
I did not have an internet connection when I bought it, but that didn’t stop me from getting it. I played through the campaign on heroic first, then legendary and had beaten it solo and found all the terminals within a week. Then I got the internet at my new home. It was November 20th.
Flash forward to last night when I hit 70 and found that no more specializations exist for me and I will be earning no more XP while I play. XP = eyes shut and tongue out. appropriate.
Then I go hunting for news about a potential release date of the LE content and discover that I am supposed to get an email with the code, but my email address attached to my XBL account is long dead since I’ve been on XBL for 10 years now. (Yes I wear the helmet) whew. what a roller coaster ride of emotions I have gone through.
Well, I also did not get credit for my play through solo from being offline nor waypoint unlocks even though the achievements were in the bank. A bit of a downer, so I am off to play to brighten my spirits. I will miss the XP screen with the crashing sound of level-ups and alerts of armor unlocks and such. Well, it’s totally worth it. I’ll be 70 and keep rushing through with my friends to get them to 70 asap too. Then we can all sit on 70 and roast some marshmallows.
