Site problems?

I looked for a support area and I see nothing so I’ll just put this in my favorite part of the forums. I have a lot of trouble with this website it never takes forever to load, double posts and such. Don’t bother telling its my internet the actuall site times out and I know I’m not the only one this happens to. My question is "any plans for an upgrade or maintenance? I really like this site but it can be very frustrating. Mods please move to a more appropriate area if you know of one.

I have this problem. as well as many other people too. It’s just trafic on the site because there are tons of people, wel that’s what I’ve heard.

Also this belongs in the waypoint section of the forums.

I had this problem untill I changed to google’s public DNS.

Noted for future reference.I. just hope they do something before release date when I’m sure traffic will increase.

Moved to the appropriate section!

A site update is expected before Halo 4’s launch, that will hopefully bring some speed improvements and a visual overhaul.

Thank you kindly.

I have this problem too lately. It takes ages to load a page and to post comments :frowning: Hopefully this will be fixed in the new update.

If you accidentally make a double post, report it, and we’ll delete it for you without penalty. Same for duplicate threads.

> Also for the double post thing, when you reply to a post don’t click refresh, when its loading you can just close it and go back to the thread and you will see your reply thus no double post :D, well thats what i do.

That works some of the time, but do it too soon and the post won’t go through.

When you reply to a post, look below the form. There’s a list of the most recent posts in the thread, and that list updates without reloading the page. Sometimes, it’ll even manage to update without any problems while you’re waiting for your post to go through. So if you see your post appear below the form, that’s a perfect guarantee that you can close the form early without losing the post.

This becomes quite problamatic on a cell phone. I try to write nice thoughtful posts and then it gets lost and then I repost with a shorter.dumber response out of frustration.

I always get runtime errors :frowning:
