Simulation? How?

So, how on infinity is this whole simulation thing going down?

Are spartans hooked up to a computer, or are they actually killing each other in a big open room with generated structures, and then everyone just magically respawns?

They are still killing each other but just in a simulation. Man i hate they made MP Canon

God I despise it too. The hell is the point?

I don’t know do like some weird Matrix thing or something.

It’s basically vr but not really.

Cant see how respawning fits in at all.

It doesn’t make any sense really.

I always thought they were just hooked up to a matrix type machine to be honest.

Your Spartan be like:

Simmmewwwlaaaaashun

I’ll take the blue pill…no the red pill…no the blue pill ;0)

Ring ring, Ring ring
Picks up phone

“Hello? I see. I’ll let him know. Thanks.”

Hangs up phone

“Umm, Master Chief, Star Trek called. It says it wants the Holodeck back.”

They’re obviously fighting each other in Spartan Heaven…that’s clearly why they can respawn…

We see how it works in Halo: Escalation… though it still doesn’t explain the respawns which make no sense still.

Well we’ve always had teleporter technology in Halo. Perhaps we teleport? It’s a stretch but it could work. Teleport away and construct a Spartan corpse where the spartan used to be?

They’re like in pods and what they do all takes place in the simulation like the matrix.
Purpose of it is to serve as a way for them to train and hone their skills. How that exactly works is an unknown since they aren’t using their muscles.

How respawning works is an unknown. We have no idea if they can feel anything either.

To be honest, humans mastering teleportation to that extent seems awfully complicated compared to just not makeing mp cannon… lol

Imagine something like the matirx.

If I were a Spartan, I’d rather it be like the holodeck on Star Trek over sitting in a pod like the Matrix.

But the teleporter tech has always been Forerunner. Have we had human made teleporters before, because I can’t remember if there were.

Plus we can see our dead bodies in the game as well, so that debunks teleportation, does it not?

Edit: Nevermind on my second part, I didn’t read your last sentence… I goofed.

Is all multiplayer canonical? If so, where are other facilities? Were the online battles that took place in H2 being fought by Spartans in Locke’s timeline? Perhaps all simulations have been recently. We need to nail down when the simulations started compared to when the forerunner transportation technology was acquired and adapted perhaps.

The body thing is easy to explain. If the holode- err simulation training room can animate pelicans and quadwings, it can animate a corpse where a live spartan was just transported from.
