Simple solution to bring back vehicle combat.

Plasma pistol no longer emp’s vehicles but the pulse grenade can (acting like the blue equipment from Halo 3).

Also buff vehicle health

It would be easier if you just don’t spawn with stickies.

Solutions:

  • Players can’t spawn with Plasma Grenades and Plasma Pistols.
  • Make vehicle armor much more resilient.
  • Make vehicles more powerful in general.
  1. Buff vehicle health on all vehicles except the Tank, Wraith, and Mantis. Have it so Warthogs are destroyed from 3 Plasma grenades instead of the current 2.

  2. Reduce the number of Plasma grenades in loadouts from 2 to 1.

If both of these are done Vehicular gameplay will be back on track. You don’t need to take Plasma Pistols and grenades out of loadouts and if you are a drive and sick of being EMP’d use the Wheelman package.

The pistol EMP has been a staple since the beginning. No change necessary. It has already been stated, but change plasma to 1 in loadouts (and move pulse up to 2), or make warthogs survive 2 sticks. In the past, taking down a hog was a group effort unless someone had a power weapon. Right now, any average Joe or Jane can do it off spawn.

I still say the easiest solution is a third voting option: Infinity Slayer, Infinity Slayer, Slayer Basic.

Slayer Basic - A slayer variant with preset UNSC loadouts using a magnum secondaries and frags. Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades can be Initial Ordnance Drops with their own HUD markers.

Make vehicles exactly how they were in Halo 3.

Done, vehicle combat is perfect.

Better idea: EMPs no longer disable the vehicle, only the weaponry.

You mean immortal behemoths that are more akin to unlimited ammo power weapons which force a near crippling reliance on Power Weapons to nuke said vehicles and forces the team that loses control of them into a pants down position to get paddled for the rest of the game?

Yeahno.

Just buff the vehicles in general. No need for all this complexity.

No! Vehicles were too powerful in Halo 3.
