Simple and Straightforward Experience System

Everyone is recommending a complex experience system when we already have a scoring system.

Make it simple:

  • Finishing a match is 50xp
  • Winning a match is 50xp
  • Top scoring player on the team is 50xp

This way even losing teams have incentive to try because they’re competing to be the top player on their team to get that bonus experience. Maybe in competing to be that top player, they actually make a comeback and win.

This also makes 5/8 players getting more than just match completed experience, so most players have that extra bonus to look forward to.

Simple. Done and dusted.

This would be a regression as to what we have now unfortunately, perhaps your xp counts need to be increased, or maybe it could be 10xp per kill.

Top player will make 150xp, winning players will make 100xp, and top scoring losing player will make 100xp.

Past 6 matches in this current system, this makes it way better. Definitely not a regression.

Thats still around 10 matches for a level. I just think the current seven match system should reset after each 7

10 matches is just fine with the experience curve being linear. And it will be fewer than 10 if you are consistently a top winner.

Competing team mates in Reach was awful. It became a FFA team match. But I do agree with the extra points for the winners.

You still need to work to get the objective done to increase your score, so I don’t really see an issue. Maybe people get grumpy about not being flag bearer or ball holder, but they’re going to be troubled players no matter what system is implemented.

For some maybe, but most will not care about winning anyways so they’ll get stuck on 50. And that will be 20 for 1 level. As was the previous system.

For only 3 out of 8 players(in just that match), yes, but it is currently 20 matches for everyone no matter what.

This is a simple system to implement compared to all the other convoluted suggestions out there. People are making charts and bar graphs and I’m lost in all the numbers. It doesn’t need to be that complex.
