I have a lot of goofy moments in Halo, whether it be frustrating or funny.

To start of,
In Warzone firefight, I could be surrounded by friendly heavy vehicles, and I will be the target even though I am on foot, and taking cover. Great right?

you answered your own question, its easier to kill a spartan that’s on foot as opposed to one in a tank, so people go for the easier kill

you can technically survive being under water in some halo games… plus water shorts out electronics, falls don’t. one more thing, you fall from space and you fall to the bottom of the ocean, lake, river, whichever, I’ve never seen a spartan float.
but all in all, I want my spartan to swim, its just illogical.

I thought it weighted two tons… I’m probably just remembering wrong. this is one of the reasons why i hate advanced movement, it makes no sense and ruins the gameplay for me. Spartans are meant to be tanks, not glass cannons like they are in 5.

Just because they wear a half ton of armor doesn’t mean they should be sluggish or tank-like, though. Quite the contrary, the augmentations and armor are supposed to make them quicker and sharper than ever (which is why the fight between Locke and Chief is a bit disappointing because of how slowly they move). Their armor (and augmentations) are meant to enhance them, not slow them down.

i’m not saying that they should be sluggish, i’m saying that they shouldn’t be able to float in the air with the rockets they have, redirecting in space, like in the second mission, is a different and more reasonable use.

Actually, if I remember correctly, Spartans can in fact swim with their armor. I believe the armor can change its density, allowing the wearer to float. The water would not short out the electronics considering that they’re very advanced and can survive in space. Also, the armor weighs around 700 pounds while the Spartan weighs about 300, making the total weight a half a ton.

well in space you have no mass so that is a non factor. you only need a small amount of force to change direction.

In WZFF. Plus, I am not the only foot soldier fighting. Just the other day, I came in with a spartan laser, and the grunt mech was focusing fire on someone right next to it, but then it looks at me before I can even get a shot in.
I’ve posted this one before, but it fits for this thread. When a guass hog throws a tank half way across the map and kills you it makes very little sense. lol
