I had a quick theory on the unexpected allies from the Silentium description to run by you guys. In Primordium there is a brief comment made about “servant species” to the forerunner.
When re-watching the FUD trailer I got an idea from the pincer maneuver referenced during a lesson about Rome and Hannibal. Hannibal turned Roman servant tribes against Rome to bolster his numbers and for resupply.
Is it possible that servant species, maybe elites and others, were all too eager to turn on those they serve? I appreciate your input and criticism.
The stuff about Hannibal and Rome sounds a bit like Mendicant Bias turning on the Forerunners.
I don’t think much has been said regarding the Elites or Grunts during that time, have they?
I would love to see Elites during the Forerunner era. Spark said they had grown dramatic since that time. Wonder what they were like back then.
We need more sentient species introduced, though. Maybe something we could end up allying with or fighting against.
I’m actually hoping Halo 5 or 6 will have 4 or more playable species: Spartans, Elites, Forerunners, and a newly introduced sentient species or two.
Greys! I wish they’d add Greys or maybe those little guys that were going to be our allies in the MMO.
A weaker species thats too smart to join the covenant and works with humanity instead. Although the all odds against us really makes Halo unique. Not like Mass Effect where there are other species on our side.
