I have the silenced BR unlocked, and I can’t get a good read on whether or not I can stay off radar when using it. Does anyone know exactly what it does? If I walk around crouched firing only silenced BR, will I never show up on radar?

I really wish it was easier to test these new variants out, especially since their descriptions aren’t exactly clear/detailed.
I’ve got the silenced AR, but I haven’t been able to tell how it works. Though, I swear it takes longer to get kills with it compared to the un-silenced one.
I too would like to know this, although i’m not sure these play much of a roll, since radar is so small, it would be hard for this to work in your favor
Hi dude, silenced weapons won’t make you appear on Rader when you fire them. For example if you’re crouching and moving slow you wont show on radar regardless however if you shoot with a normal gun you will show up!
When you shoot you don’t appear on radar if you’re standing still, and the enemy team can’t hear your gun shots. For example, I see a group of three enemy dudes walking by, I pick off the last one that was absurdly close to his friends, then picked off the next one. By the time the front one noticed what had happened I finished him off.
If you use the silenced SMG and a certain armor mod you’re 100% invisible while running even
Not sprinting though
They simply remove you from the radar when you shoot instead of highlighting you along with the noise reduction so no one that uses noise to their advantage can hunt you down while you kill off players not super useful for the BR since its pretty long range but for the SMG, AR, and other close range weapons its very useful.

I always swap to my silenced AR at Level 3, from my experience not appearing on the radar is useful, and there’s no reason to use the stock one when I’ve got an upgrade.

Most people playing video games have such tunnel vision they wouldn’t have noticed, even if you didn’t have a silencer.
