Burst fire is a must if the target is further than 20 meters.

its very doubtful that the pistol will be silenced not to mention that we dont even know if we are going to have a smg. Though in odst most of the silenced weapons did very little damage and were not as effective.
I’m not sure why you would want the supressed weapons to return they weren’t really that effective they were very weak weapons the smg could barley take out a brutes shield on normal and the pistol was only good for headshots, they’re only good quality was being accurate but other then that they were horrible.

i can see silenced pistol being worth it if it made it so you dont show up on the map while shooting and standing still
The suppresed smg was awesome. They need to bring it back. But then again awesome things can’t be incorporated into Halo 4 because 343 doesn’t like awesome, they prefer lame.

This is indeed interesting. I think if 343i has the time, resources, and space to fit this in then they should do it.

It could be used in campaign, custom games, forge, and firefight.

Campaign, Spartan Ops, and Fire Fight, yes, but other than that, I’m not too sure, but it also has to do with how they treat the silencer. Crysis has the best set up for silencers, you can fire your weapon when it’s silenced, when you’re cloaked, and one shot won’t kill your cloak, but more than one shot will. If they treat them like that, then it might be useful, but other than that, silencers in games like Battle Field, and a certain Fish game, use “sound” radar system, that picks up gun fire, and silencers aren’t picked up on that system. Halo use a Motion tracker radar, you move, you’re detected.
But in Campaign, Spartan Ops, and Fire Fight, the silencers can be used to keep from alerting the AI that you’re close by, as long as they don’t see you.

> I mentioned in another thread how it would be interesting to see a silenced SMG that hardly breaks your AC camo when firing. We all agreed it would be OP.
