I know that we do have the Brute Cheiftans and Elite Generals as our Firefight end of round boss, but I was thinking that we can go a bit further.
When I say further, I mean as in a Scarab climbing into the map or a couple of huge hunters to be dropped in, or even a group of Locusts… The possibilities are endless
This idea is based off the boss round of the Gears of War: Horde Mode, and I think it is a great and challenging feature that should be added to the future firefight.
I like the idea of firefight boss fights but we’d need a ton of different bosses which we don’t have. Gears of War has great boss waves because of the variety of toughies in the game.

-Giant Red Hunters. They were in Halo Legends, and were one of the few good things that came from it. Adding these would create an incredibly dangerous and Boss Level enemy, while also creating a new CQC/Melee enemy for the first time since Halo 3.
-Scarab. 'Cause Scarabs. Hopefully they do more than stay in the same area like they do in Halo 3.
-Locust. Like a Scarab, but mini-er.
-Lich. Provided it does more than float and sputter like it does in Halo 4.
-Phantom Gunships like in Halo 2. They would stay after dropping troops off and use their 3 turrets to suppress any players that are moving out in the open on foot, or players hiding inside a structure.
-A group of Enforcers, or something equally terrifyingly deadly that’s Forerunner.
-Flood Juggernaut(s).
-Harvester. Since this moving could very well help players realize the Covenant do more than standing around waiting for Chief to blow their brains out.
-Sharquoi. Mentioned in Conversations from the Universe, turned out to be the cut Drinol from Halo 2. Since I doubt 343i can use Bungie’s Drinol from Marathon in Halo, just make something really big, terrifying, and alien that the Covenant Remanent found to fight the UNSC.

Won’t happen unless the planet/location we’re at has lower gravity

Actually I think I’m wrong I remember hearing about saying that may be why the Hunter was so big but remembered the Hunters are a collective body of Lekgolo
I guess maybe if what I said was true, I think the lower gravity would be able to help support a larger colony of Lekgolo without the already existing support of a Scarabs already built body

Sanghelios has higher gravity than Earth, we saw them there. They’ll be fine, not to mention they’re covered top to bottom in armor.

How many of those things will end up in the game? 3, maybe 4. And the enforcers and flood would make no sense in a covenant based firefight, but they could have separate modes for them. Anyways what your saying won’t work

I see no reason why not then, as long as SpOps returns also I’m happy

Floodfight has flood bosses and we can have a Forerunner FF selection too, this is simple. Floodfight has been wanted for years now, if 343’s paying attention to the community it will make it in.
And if they don’t have time or don’t want to make Firefight in Halo 5 an amazing experience that will blow players away by adding in epic bosses, I would gladly do it for them if they gave the tools to make enemies and content for the game to the community. Which would be an incredibly smart move since recently, more than ever, the community has not been happy with the game content and limitations.

I’m sure they will have flood firefight and maybe forerunner firefight as well, I even said that.
Here’s a few more ideas:
-Forerunner tank: it’s like a giant forerunner scarab
-Elite sword master: This is something I sort of though up right as I started this reply. Basically its an elite with 2 swords and strong shields, he won’t be to aggressive but he’ll be able to slice a large portion of the bullets you shoot at him in half or just block them, he is a sword master.
That’s all for now but I’m thinking of more.
I also agree with you about how the community doesn’t like the limitations and content
> -Elite sword master: This is something I sort of though up right as I started this reply. Basically its an elite with 2 swords and strong shields, he won’t be to aggressive but he’ll be able to slice a large portion of the bullets you shoot at him in half or just block them, he is a sword master.
It should be within the realm of plausibility. Why not give the Elite a block ability?
Examples:
-Reach/H4 Hunter raises it’s shield to block headshots (but it’s pointless)
-high ranking Skirmishers are equipped with wrist shields and they can raise it to block headshots
-in Halo Legends, an Elite Major Chief dueled with it blocked his bullets with the sword
-in most Halo games, a sword Elite CAN deflect grenades. So blocking bullets may be within the realm of plausibility
Giant Hunters with full armour, have to wait till the plating at the back opens when they move as fast as charging speed.
Scarabs with much better A.I
Locusts. They can’t be boarded like Scarabs so one Grizzly tank will drop in to combat the Locust.
Elite Combat Master- Elite with 4 Overshields plus normal shields & intimidating armor for when it’s shields pop (so no instant headshot kill), better A.I than any other of it’s brethren, Wields dual energy swords (for multiple players around it) & Plasma rifles & has a shield gauntlet to block headshots. Takes cover a lot. I want this guy to be overkill.
Flood Juggernaut- Along with it’s normal abilities, it spits flood biomass for an instant kill or flood transformation on marine allies.
Brute Destroyer- Like the War Chieftains from ODST but uses dual Maulers, a Brute shot & the Hammer. Can deflect all kinds of explosives or objects perfectly with the hammer & set them off in mid air with a Brute Shot shot. He can also EMP any electronics in a small area around him & throw Incendiary grenades. He’s a pure beast. Bred for destruction. Thrives on it.
He is also scarier & bulkier than any Brute enemy we have faced so far.
That’d be incredibly cheap.
It’d force players to rely on assassinations (like against the H3 Chieftains).
It’s not good to alienate the golden triangle (guns, melee, grenades). Due to the grenade count of 2 and the lack of grenade choices, grenades are almost pointless for combat nowadays.
As for melee, Bungie made it typically impossible to assassinate Brutes in Reach. Their vulnerability switched from assassinations to grenades in an instant.
The golden triangle should work on any enemy, the enemies should just be smarter.
If they introduce such an overpowered enemy, they should restore the grenade count to 4 and/or give us more grenade choices. Halo 3 Firebomb grenades were effective against Chieftains.
-Brute Master: This will have similar armor to a brute chieftain except slightly stronger. He’ll have a gravity hammer that is normal strength but has 2 special abilities. Ability 1 is where when he is about 25 meters or so away, he can just shock you and you can’t move for 3 seconds, the reason why he can’t do this close up is so he won’t just shock you up close and kill you. Ability 2 is where his hammer can shock a large portion of the bullets that fly by it, then he can protect the majority of his upper body, he can also smash explosives before they hit him, and he can kick grenades right back at your face. He’ll have a good A.I. and will not be to aggressive unless there is a lot of other guys around him for support.
