Hey guys.
Was curious as to how to create a signature, I’ve seen plenty of ppl. create them but when I try to make one everything I type deletes itself.
What I’m wondering is, do you have to be a certain rank on waypoint or is there a code you have to use?
There are about 8 Spartans and 10 plus moderators and 4 or 5 admin so not that many have the signatures our of 300k users on these forums.
THe only ways to obtain a Signature is to be a Spartan 6001 posts or Monitor/Superintendent or Admin of these forums.

I think things are good the way they are. Having a signiture is something you have to get and not something you can just spam all over the place. Only the most dedicated members have signitures.

Couldn’t there be an automatic filter that filters out inappropriate things and links?

I don’t see how it’s that big of an issue. If you don’t want to earn your signature you can always go to 343i.org…

It would be too easily bypassable.

When I put links in my signature, I use -Yoink!- links to shorten them, if they were to give everyone signatures, they would have to block that website so people couldn’t bypass already filtered links, which would ultimately be a pain for those who want multiple links in their signature.

I don’t believe links count towards the character limit, so shorteners shouldn’t be necessary.

They do.
Well it goes both ways I’ve learned, if everyone wants Sigs, it’ll be too much work fo tha webmasters. But, then again it’s enough work work already having to EARN them though 6,001 posts

Moa is right, including spacing take up a big portion as well to avoid ascii art as well I believe…
