Help !!! I tried logging into the wrong email for xbox live on startup of MCC and now it’s bricked on “error encountered while signing into xbox live.”
Edit, I’ve re-installed 4 times, all the times deleting local and roaming files.
I’m having the same issue! help us!

Same here. I opened a support ticket and they said its not an issue they can fix and referred me to Xbox support.
Has anyone tried signing into the Xbox Console Companion app and then launching the game? I was having this issue and this seemed to fix it.

Delete everything in C:\Users(your user ID)\AppData\LocalLow\MCC and it might give you a chance to log in again. Worked for me and I can now play the game. If you don’t know, you can get to appdata faster by opening your file explorer and typing %appdata%

How do you do this for steam ? on my console companion it says i have to purchase through the microsoft store.

Im having the same issue and i tried pressing cancel and eventually it said its detecting too many authentication attempts. So now what? the game literally wont let me even start playing it. I updated windows and tried refunding the game back to steam but even they wont take it back. I tried uninstalling and same issue, tried verifying files and nothing helps. I even tried finding the game in my library but i couldnt and wasnt able to even add it to the library either.

I tried this and nothing changed. This is the only fix I’ve seen so far and it’s worked for a few people but not me. Guess I’m screwed?
This does not fix it for me. Tried going directly to path and tried looking up %appdata% to no avail. Please can we get a patch that fixes this.

Yea i found the app data it did nothing after deleting everything in the MCC folder is there any other fix or thing you did to make it stop askin LETS PLAY and then giving the error?
