On launch once i get past Press enter to continue screen, I immediately get this error. “Sign in Error, Error encountered while signing into Xbox Live”. I haven’t been to any screens for a login. I’m logged in on the xbox companion app, and launching from there produces same error. Tried launching in steam and Xbox companion app, same problem both times. Verified game files, tried deleting files in App Data>Local Low>MCC after seeing another similar post to no avail. Literally can’t do anything with the game besides see these 2 screens (enter to continue and Error message).
Try creating a new Windows user and launching the game from that profile. It’s dumb and inconvenient, but it worked for me.
I fixed it after trying many things(including creating a new user profile).
I installed the Xbox (Beta) App, which showed some dependencies were missing(also installed those) and then signed in on that app. That appears to have resolved it.Total list of Microsoft store apps that got installed as part of the process:
