*sigh* REALLY, Machinima?!

It has been uploaded by Waypoint to youtube, but it is not letting us view it due to copyright claims :frowning:

Linky

This is upsetting.

Dangit Machinima!!!

I am about to drop kick whoever runs YouTube nowadays.

Just posting this in case 343i isn’t aware.

Part 1 was already uploaded earlier. If it’s part 2, then I’m interested.

So I log into youTube and am presented with the ā€œHalo 4 Fiction Panel from SDCC 2012ā€ uploaded 3 minutes ago by HaloWaypoint, i click on it and recieve:

This video contains content from machinima, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.
Sorry about that.

So, Machinima has copyright blocked an official HaloWaypoint video, im pretty sure this is a mistake and is likely to change but, this shouldn’t be happening, is this just a glitch of some sort or is Machinima really this stupid…

EDIT: Posts merged.

THE VIDEO IS NOW AVAILABLE AGAIN FOLLOW THE ABOVE LINK

Machinima have blocked the Halo 4 fiction panel on youtube for copyright!
Wtf are they doing, the video was barely up for 5 minutes.

Well it looks like we made our threads at the exact same time.

HAHAHA Machinima is about to get their a**es handed to them. Did they really file a copyright claim on material they don’t own? What idiot did that? I’m only subscribed to them to find out Halo news I may not have heard anyway.

I guess it’s because Machinima has the rights on the FUD trailer.
lol

Nah machinima really are that stupid.

I also posted a thread about this. Sadface.

Well this sucks. Now we are going to have to wait a couple of days until the footage makes it on Waypoint.

the first.

I’m actually afraid for Machinima in this one.
This does look good for them.

Not a very smart move was it…

I want to punch a baby. (slight exaggeration)

Machinima messing with Microsoft? Lol, they’ll be shut down.

No we don’t. Waypoint doesn’t use YouTube as a host player for their website. I believe they use MS Silverlight. They upload some of the videos to their YouTube account as well as here, but if they feel like embedding it on Waypoint, no one can stop them. YouTube really needs to start monitoring these bogus copyright claims.
