Sigh... I really miss Bungie now. *Spoiler*

So, now that I am done playing Halo 4 cause I am capped out at 70 cause I was too poor to be able to buy the limited edition of Halo 4(and looking back on it, I am glad I didn’t spend that much on this stupid game.) I would like to say just how horrible this game is and why I miss Bungie so freaking much.

In past Halos the standard for story line was amazing. Master Chief was the last of his kind and the reason he survived for so long was because he was amazing at survival. Also, in past Halos(when Bungie was making the game) you never saw his face, which made for great mystery. Now that 343i has the reigns though, they feel to destroy everything that Bungie work on for so long just to try to “compete” with CoD. CoD is not that great, its kinda fun, but nothing compared to Halo series until now. Now 343i makes Master Chief out to be a prophecy that was 2,000 years in the making to kill one Forerunner dude. Really? That’s the lamest story line to follow the Halo series ever! And with now revealing Master Chiefs face and completely ruining the entire Halo experience, I know I shall not be buying and more Halo games ever again. And I know I am not the only one with this thought in mind.

Now bringing me to multiplayer. Yet again another attempt to try to keep up with CoD yet Halo 3’s multiplayer was the best multiplayer you could ever get on the market. I still wanna play Halo 3 multiplayer more then any other because it was that great. Just because a bunch of CoD fanboys love that multiplayer so much it doesn’t mean that you have to dumb down you’re own game just to try to maybe steal their players, by making you’re game more like theirs. You are shafting all the die hard fans that have been with Halo since the beginning.

And the last part where you screwed up the most. This exp ranking bullcrap! Yet again making you’re game like CoD and then also screwing you’re own customer base while doing it. Limited edition buyers of the game got all Specializations unlocked from the start of the game, meaning that they can do whatever they want. Regular buyers of the game who weren’t able to get the limited edition got all the way to 70 and well stopped playing the game cause what more is there? And now you are gonna be giving away codes to unlock all of them through the email that you’re gamertag is linked to. Well, not everybody remembers their email and its also not fair to everybody who is maybe getting the game for the holidays. People who started playing the game after November 20th are gonna be getting screwed over with only being able to unlock Wetwork and Operator. That means that when they get to level 70, they aren’t gonna wanna play the game anymore cause there is nothing left to work for. The smartest move would have been just to have all the Specializations open from the start of the game. Also, heard that the U.K. is gonna be getting screwed out of codes. That is a whole country that you are gonna be screwing over.

In summary, you have screwed the pooch on this one 343i. You took a game that was the milestone for the best game ever created and just tossed it down the toilet. I don’t expect to see Halo 5 getting much money. Don’t even bother making it cause you are probably gonna go bankrupt from not many people buying it. I know I wont be buying it. Sorry 343i, but you could have done better. You are now losing a long time fan of the game.

I don’t think you fully understood what the Librarian said.

I feel the same way. And what video game experience did 343i have in the first place? I think it was greatly irresponsible for Microsoft to just give the game to 343i.

So very true. Halo might as well have been done when Bungie left.

Cries

BUNGIE COME BACK!!! 343i is doing a poor job, and completely unprepared. Please do Halo 5. i dont want to see a 3, a 4, and another 3, with an I in the game. AT ALL.

Nice how you get level capped before you decided not to play any more. Lol my 5 year old does the same thing when you take his 3ds off him, has a complete Mardy.

Oh please, Bungie was killing halo with reach. Stop being massive nostalgia -Yoinks!- and just enjoy the game. When Halo 5 comes out, everyone will talk about how Halo 4’s multiplayer was amazing. Just stop…

Got to lamest story and then stopped reading. The story was already in place way before 343 got its hands on it. Books/Terminals/etc all pointed to what happened except for the finale, which still sets up for 5/6…

> Nice how you get level capped before you decided not to play any more. Lol my 5 year old does the same thing when you take his ds off him has a complete Mardy.

lol, kids. But don’t worry, im still playin 4. im just annoyed with 343i’s progress and set up.

If you know bungie then you know they wont come back. There way to stubborn and are having a great time with Bungie areospace. But then again you never know…microsoft did let an inexperienced industrie create one of the gaming industries most original and sacred game? So i guess theres hope.

Pretty sure Master Chief was made to save humanity, which he’s done, twice. The Librarian knew that the Forerunners would fall and that the Reclaimers(humans) would take over. She made sure that they would be strong enough by orchestrating the creation of Master Chief. The humans have gotten a completely new job and Master Chief’s right there to help them along. Halo has become so much more than a game, it’s become a universe to be built in, by 343i, by us and if you don’t want to be a part of that well then I hope Destiny fulfills your desires.

Cool Story Bro

343i wasn’t an independent company like Bungie was. 343i came about as a result form microsoft attempting to take full control over the game’s franchise. with that said, its safe to say that building this game from the inside of microsoft (rather than from the outside, bungie.) is what really destroyed the game. I’m willing to give this game about another two months after the near year to really develop into something that actually rewards skillful players rather than those who can dewxp all day. this was similar to reach’s approach, but at least I had a dope -Yoink!- helmet to look forward to, not to mention the notoriety of being an inheritor. even though reach was similar in this respect, at least it still had arena, which was somewhat skillful and visible to everyone who was in the game lobby with you.

I find the opposite to be true, OP. 343 has made a more in-depth than all of Bungie’s games combined. 343 recognized the books whereas Bungie spat on them with their version of Reach.

What I loved about Halo 4’s campaign is that if you had not read Cryptum and Primordium you were going to be pretty damn lost.

> I feel the same way. And what video game experience did 343i have in the first place? I think it was greatly irresponsible for Microsoft to just give the game to 343i.

You realize that about half of the 343 is FROM Bungie right?

When Bungie decided to split from Microsoft (and become a -Yoink!- for Activision ironically), Microsoft required that Bungie employees be given the opportunity to go to 343 and stay with the franchise. And about half went with 343. So there is a significant presence of former Bungie employees in Halo 4.

I love this game. There are a few game balance issues I dislike but that will hopefully be changed soon. And I think 343i did a great job. I have played and beat every halo game to this point and was invested in all of them.

We’re a tough community to have. I guess from the strength the first few halo’s had in the game market some of the community still feels entitled to everything. As time has gone on there has been many games that are now competing with Halo. (Not to mention very closely) And in some ways beating it.

If you think this is unplayable then go play CoD. I am glad 343i is here. Bungie almost killed halo with Reach. It’s off the operating table and into recovery. Will it pull through? I hope. But if it does it will be by 343i and not bungie who did it.

We need to be a bit more supportive with a product barely 3 weeks old. Rather than threatening and raising hell because we didn’t get our way.

343i has embraced both MLG and Casual play. They have tried their best to go above and beyond. Some stuff didn’t make it in at launch but they’re trying. And I’m sure, This time next year we will have a product we’re all happy with.

-CUT 343i SOME SLACK-

You grossly overestimate the number of Bungie employees at 343i. There are very few.

Lets say you buy a car and it doesnt come with wheels. How would that make you feel? Were not being little kids were just upset about the fact we spent money on somthing that didnt rise to its full potential.

I’m not a fan of how they began to make you feel as if you were watching master chief. In halo CE, you WERE master chief. In 2, you WERE master chief. At the end of 3, they gave his name. And in 4, they revealed everything. I’m not a personal fan of that. I like being the badass that saves the human race, not some guy who dies saving master chief.(Noble Six)

Wow seeing a persons eyes takes so much mystery away. Also all the Bungie fan boys please go home, Bungie made Halo by accident , it was intended to be an RTS then a third person action adventure and only after failing miserably to make a game that any one would license they came to -Yoink!- with this Idea and -Yoink!- asked about a FPS for a console they were planning , Bungie got lucky and then hired people from outside to make it happen. Lets not forget Bungie put us on the downward slide to Armor abilities with Equipment and gave us the Epic , Fail of Wretch.
